The Dragon
Large and light, in graceful flight
His mighty wings an awesome span
Above the heads of small and meek
A creature never tamed by Man
His scales are hard and bluish-green
His massive tail a deadly coil
His very breath of fiery death
Can bring whole oceans up to boil
He is feared and much revered
His very name brings dread untold
Many try, but many fail
To find his hoard of hidden gold
These are the stories often said
But if you ask him in the end
The Dragon has a noble side
He'd lay his life down for a friend
