Generations

The older woman proud and wise
With silver in her hair
Looks down upon her daughter
Her eyes are full of care

The woman hitting middle age
Still looking pretty well
Looks down upon her daughter
The love is there to tell

The younger woman slim and sweet
Still new to grown-up ways
Looks down upon her daughter
The sunshine of her days

The little girl with silky curls
Too young to understand
She still smiles up at all of them
And reaches out her hand
