Nature's Song
The gentle beat of summer
rain
Keeps time upon the windowpane
The rhythm and the tempo
seem
As constant as the day
The silent humming of the
breeze
That rustles leaves within
the trees
A tuneless tune that sweeps
about
Whatever's in the way
The simple song of grasses
green
They rustle as someone
unseen
Will play them as a harp
with strings
Or is it just the air
A stream rolls by like
voices raised
In tender song as I have
gazed
Along this land I now can
hear
Its music everywhere
Wherever one can look around
There's Nature's Song in
every sound
Seek with your heart and
from the start
You'll hear the music play
