GL Awakenings

Gifted" students Jack Ebner, Maria Lune Chase, and Kara Meacham are all realizing that they are having a terrible time at Madison College Preparatory. Though they are making lots of friends and are enjoying their classes, their peer advisor, Crispien Sill, constantly berates them, and they aren't happy with that. The three new students, after two months, are seriously considering their positions at Lund House.
However, things change when an old student, Page, comes to Lund House seeking revenge against his former school, especially his old advisor, Crispien. And who better to attack than the three new students? After all, he knows that they do not like Crispien, and they have no idea of why they are really at Lund House.
The truth about Lund House and the first of the two major arcs starts out with a blast, and you don't want to miss a second of it.

::GL Notes-For the Reader (Scroll and read)

I just thought I'd add a little section to GL Awakenings that gives a few notes on the story.  Now, of course, I've tried to write it as clear as I can without giving things away (that would be dumb), I just wanted to drop a fun facts by you.  First of all, I hope that GLA isn't more than twenty episodes...GL Maximum is the real story I wish to write, and I don't want to keep myself waiting any longer.

The Buzz...November 4, 1999: Okay, that's it, Gaia Legend will be coming on at night at 8:30pm.  The deadline killed me and I turned the story in 20 minutes late (oh, big thanks writers).  I'm sorry, peeps, I really am.  This is no way to start a fun series...especially if the end is a little rushed.  Either way, there new fun facts to report, which you can see below.

Fun facts about Madison Joint College Preparatory:

* I based Madison on the high school in the movie "Cruel Intentions".  Of course, we only saw the church part of it, but seeing all the students in uniforms was enough to get me thinking.

*When thinking about it, I was also inspired by the campus of Illinois Math and Science Academy as a setting for Madison.  IMSA is located in Aurora, Illinois.

* Madison has two schools on-campus.  LaSalle College Preparatory is the school for boys, which is very prestigious due to it's smart students, and has a lot of sports activities there.  However, you have to do well in classes and keep at least a 3.1 to stay on an athletic team.  St. Scholastica High School is the girl's school, which has the best girls' soccer team in the state of Illinois.

* Madison's students have to wear two kinds of uniforms during the year, kinda like Japanese students.  From fall to winter, the girls wear a black blazer with the St. Scholastica's insignia on it, white long-sleeved shirts, black ties, and black plaid skirts.  The boys wear the same, only they wear black slacks instead of skirts (at least we think so).  In the Spring and Summer, the girls have black pullover sweaters which they can take off, white short-sleeved shirts, black ties, and black plaid shirts.  Guys have white polo shirts with the school insignia, and black slacks.

* Except for Lund House, the dorms are strictly female or male.

* Caroline Meacham is based on my Mexican History and Culture teacher, Mrs. Cherie Meacham.

*There are nine children of Gaia...however, three don't live at Lund House.  Two haven't been found yet, and Ethan lives in his own place.

*Audi and Sa are actually based on the writer (that's me), and her real-life bf.  I changed the name to Nora, because there shouldn't be a "N'Donna" in there (heh, there's enough of me in the world), and Nigel...well, is the true name of my beloved.  However, Page is purely fiction, as I am too nerdy to have been in a past, let alone abusive and torrid, relationship.
