Satellite Flare - by chance
Monday Jan 12 2004 - PM

The moment I gazed out of my window, a flare appeared out of no where - I watched it peaked in brightness and fianlly 'switched off'. The flare's yellowish orange reflected sunlight (from the iridium satellite's doorsize antennae module) constrasted strongly with the nearby star -Alpha Eri's white 0.48 mag Star..
This is my 2nd iridium flares by chance... looking back I have chalked up to hundred plus of these precision highly predictable 'reflection' from these high flying space birds in various weather conditions...
Have you seen one?
