2nd chance flare for the year 2004
Within a split seconds of my gazing out of the window - a familar bright iridium flare appeared.. This is my 2nd chance encountered bright flare.. what a coincidnece... Is this the subconscious mind that drawn me to the window at that magic momement or simply a chance occurrence that repeat twice - who knows?

Satellite Flare - by chance
Monday Jan 12 2004 - PM

The moment I gazed out of my window, a flare appeared out of no where - I watched it peaked in brightness and fianlly 'switched off'. The flare's yellowish orange reflected sunlight (from the iridium satellite's doorsize antennae module) constrasted strongly with the nearby star -Alpha Eri's white 0.48 mag Star..
This is my 2nd iridium flares by chance... looking back I have chalked up to hundred plus of these precision highly predictable 'reflection' from these high flying space birds in various weather conditions...
Have you seen one?

2nd Iridium flare by chance
Monday Jan 12 2004 - Chance Evening Flare Observation

Drained after a day's work...or is it just Monday. The panadol didn't help much... I walked to the window and instinctly gazed out.

In less than 1 sec a bright "iridium flare" appeared - the yellowish orange light contrast sharply with the pure white alpha Eri ( Achernar) at mag 0.48...

This was my 2nd iridium flare caught UNINTENTIONALLY for the year 2004 so far. Looking back I probably had chalked pass over hundred of such sightings

I steal a glance at the wall clock - it said quarter to nine.. then I vaguely remembered a prediction for today... Is it a subconsciously mind at work - without the need of a time piece that pulled me to the window and look out - now you tell me..
