Though there were only six episodes, Sons of Thunder, a spin-off of Walker, Texas Ranger, generated quite a following.  The series followed the adventures of two young private detectives in the city of Dallas.  The characters of Trent Malloy and Carlos Sandoval were originally introduced in a special two hour episode of Walker, Texas Ranger in 1997.
In that episode, martial arts instructor Trent Malloy left the army and returned home to help his mother raise his younger siblings.  He soon teamed up with a childhood friend, Dallas police officer Carlos Sandoval, to catch a killer.  The characters were seen in numerous episodes of Walker during the next two seasons as Trent opened Thunder Karate and a protection agency, and Carlos became a detective on the force.
Finally, in 1999 they were given their own series.  In the pilot, Carlos left the DPD and joined Trent to open a detective agency.  The two rented space above a club owned by ex-prize fighter Butch McMann.  Butch, a kind hearted soul who was once a P.I. himself, was always ready to help out.   The cast was rounded out with the addition of feisty office manager Kim Sutter.  Sons of Thunder, like Walker, was filmed entirely on location in Dallas, Texas and produced by Walker star Chuck Norris and his brother Aaron.  Chuck, along with costars Sheree J. Wilson, and Clarence Gilyard Jr. made occasional guest appearances on the show.

News:

Welcome!  To my newly re-designed Sons of Thunder Treasury.  With many of the old fans moving on to other endeavors, I noticed the profound lack of a good, comprehensive SOT web site.  So I decided to expand this one to include episode synopses and screen caps pages.  There is still all the fan fiction you know and love as well as a couple desktop themes and some other goodies for writers.  Take your time and look around, and if you have any suggestions, just let me know!

April 8, 2004 - A Note about Stories by Audrey Marshall and Robin Nagot:  I've actually been sitting on this fanfiction for quite some time - ever since Patt told me she was no longer interested in keeping up the Sons of Thunder Fan Fiction Archive and for me to take any of the stories I didn't want to get lost.  I tried to get in touch with as many of the authors as I could in order to get their permission to post their stories.  However for some I could find no working email address.  So I've been holding on to these stories simply because I didn't want them just to disappear.  Then I realized I might as well post them, so perhaps newer fans (as well as some old fans who might not remember them or just want to read them again) can enjoy them.  I did my best to place them in the order I believe they should be read, but I make no guarantees on that!  If either of these authors happen by this site and are opposed to their stories being posted here, please drop me a note, and I will remove them immediately.  Thank you, Kat.

April 7, 2004 - "When it Rains" by Big Edna now posted.
