The original Greek word for
"church" is "ecclesia," which means, "called out ones." The
Church is the Body of Christ. It is the bride of Christ. It
is the Temple of God. Each member is a "lively" stone in that temple.
See, sayeth He, that you build everything according to the pattern.
A great shout went up when the foundation of the temple had been laid,
but when the temple was completed according to the pattern, God's glory
filled that temple. So it will be with the Church.
