I am interested in advertising books on military history that are mainly self published. The examples below are both self published, because they thought their story needed to be told. The big publishers will not take on any of these kinds of projects, as there is not enough money in them. Thus, we are the losers. The books I have listed here I have read and highly recommend. Please follow the appropriate links for more information on the book, and if interested, order one! You will not regret it! If you have a book that would fit into this page, I will put it on here, if you send me a copy and let me review it. Thats all there is to it. If interested in doing that, email me at squiz@mail.newnanutilities.org

A MAN IN BOTH GERMAN AND AMERICAN ARMIES DURING WWII

From the Dust Jacket: When the depression turned America into a land of hardship, young Walter Schroder's family moved back to Germany. The boy was only nine, and he entered an Old World that was borning anew-the Germany of Nazi dreams. Events moved swiftly. Schroder joined the Hitler Youth and learned the ways of the Fatherland as well. When war broke out, he was called up at age 15 to man antiaircraft guns against planes from the land of his birth. But 1945 turned Schroder's Luftwaffe unit into British POW's, and his captors soon realized the the young man spoke "yank." With his birthright discoved, Schroder became a translator and conveyor of orders for a new regime; U.S. citizenship properly documented, he was-incredibly-drafted into the U.S. Army. The vanquished youth had become a victorious warrior.

An excellent book, a fascinating look on both sides of the conflict. If interested, please email the author directly, at wkschroder@aol.com.
