Owned by Gunther and Christine, this cafe offers light meals and a great brekky. It can be found on Foxlow St Captains Flat. While enjoying a meal take a look at Gunther's art work, it is also a gallery of his fine work. A great place to stop by, just opposite the hotel.

This grand old hotel is owned by Tom & Anna. It had the reputation of having the longest bar in the Southern Hemisphere when the mines were open. With a big open fire to sit by in the lounge, it is a welcome stop over in winter. Havnt stayed there over night, but I hear that it is quite comfy and affordable.

Captains Flat to Queanbeyan NSW.

The road to Captains Flat from Queanbeyan is not the best, but if your out for a slow tour it is ok. On the other hand if your into dirt riding than Captains Flat offers some great riding once you get out there. With forests and hilly terrain around, the local guys have a ball. Once you arrive in Captains Flat, the museum is worth checking out. with some old bikes and heaps of history about the area.
