To get to the chatting, just choose an arbitrary username and type it in. There's no good reason to fill the other blanks in, but if you want to go ahead. If this doesn't work, there might be someone who's already taken that username somewhere on the XOOM network, and so just keep picking ones until you find one that works. SUDA. WO?.

Sorry, your browser is not Java-enabled, you will not be able to chat. To correct this problem, download the latest version of Microsoft Internet Explorer or Netscape Communicator/Navigator. The SSA XC web page contains some MSIE-specific functions, but works fully and completely with Navigator. If you are using an old version of AOL, that's your problem, and if you want a more independent option, try downloading the Opera browser. That's what I would reccomend because it's quick and small and fast.

CHAT 1997 HISTORY TOP 10 LINKS GUEST BOOK HARVEST

Welcome to the new chat area.
As you may have notcied, this web site has been taking a stand against commercialism for its entire existence. When a guestbook was added, I didn't take the easy way out and use GuestWorld.com. I wrote some nice code for a nice guestbook that did things the way I wanted it done. There were no advertisements on the site. No Tripod or GeoCities windows popping up in your face to tell you where you were.
Alas, that has all come to an end now. Frankly, I have better things to do, such as running to get in shape for track so we don't get second place for the fourth straight season, do homework so that I can get into college, wax nostalgic about those days of yesteryear when I thought that I still might get into college somewhere, play squash to cancel out the harmful effects of cross-country on one's coordination, read books and get fresh air instead of being a dork and sitting in front of my computer, etc., etc., etc., than write a chatting applet in Java when the good people at XOOM have already done that for me. A guestbook was easy -- maybe two hours of coding. The Pace Calculator was a good mental exercise and that was about an hour.
This would have just taken too darn long to write, and it probably won't be used that much anyway, so please forgive the unfortunate encroachment, if you will, of American commercialism onto this once sacred, pure, and virgin website, so to speak.
