Almost
all of my landscape shots are done on either 6X6 or 6X9 medium format 120
film. I use twin lens reflex's for 6X6 and an old crown graphic press camera
with roll film back for 6X9. These camera's are both relatively inexpensive
and produce fantastic resolution. I stopped using 35mm after I got my first
pictures back with my rolleicord V. The lack of interchangeable lenses
hasn't hampered my style and with the crown graphic I can use different
lenses. Right now I have a 100mm and 135mm wide field ektar's and a 210mm
commercial ektar but am looking to get a 65mm soon. I use my olympus
35mm for action shots and macro work. I have only prime olympus lenses
and feel zooms cost to much in terms of quality considering how small the
negatives are. I have shot some 4X5 film but feel that the enlargements
I do aren't big enough to warrant the hassle of this format. I do all my
own darkroom work (B&W and color) and really enjoy that part of photography
too. Taking it from start to finish is very satisfying. If you've never
shot med format you need to try it. It made a very big difference in my
enjoyment of this hobby and the quality of my images.
