St. Luke's Holy Catholic Church, Anglican Rite
Who Are We?
We are a parish church of the Diocese of the Pacific and Southwest, Holy Catholic Church, Anglican Rite, located
in La Verne, California. We stand on the ancient Christian faith as stated in the Apostles', Nicene and Athanasius Creeds
(click on Creeds page), as well as the Seven Ecumenical Councils. We use the King James Version of the Holy Bible, the American
edition of the Anglican Missal and the 1928 Book of Common Prayer (see Links page) in our worship services.
Our Mission
The mission of The Holy Catholic Church, Anglican Rite, is to perpetuate the Faith, Order, Worship and Witness
of Western Catholicism as it existed in the Church of England from around 200 A.D., to the time of the Great Schism, and set
forth by the "ancient catholic bishops and doctors," and especially as defined by the Seven Ecumenical Councils of the undivided
Church.
"If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their
wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land."
