"MAG Submission 10/03 - Ora and Skye"

This is a larger version of my submission. The width limit on all MAG submissions is 600 pixels. The original picture is obviously not 600 pixels.

I think the biggest difference between this and my first submission is time. I was able to do things at my own pacing. I also bought a few nifty Copic Markers that I just had to experiment with.

I took a few artistic liberties on Ora and Skye. My dormates commented on how both of them looked like Mad Max-style ninjas, and that Ora looked like a tanned cousin of Final Fantasy X/X-2's Rikku. The fact that Skye's the one talking and Ora is doing the cool pose was done on purpose. I figure even Skye feels like talking every once in a while.

I had no idea what to do with EDEN, but I needed to fill up the white space between Ora and Skye. I imagined EDEN as some sort of winged vehicle that can sail across the seas and fly over mountains. The fact you can only see a wing above water shows just how huge EDEN really is. As I kept drawing, I joked that EDEN resembled a glorified seagul rather than a working hydrocraft.
