E.S.F. Awards

The Purple Cross: Awarded to those officers injured
 in the line of duty. This is the most common
 StarFleet award.

The Cochrane Medal: Awarded to those officers who
 have performed feats of engineering or scietific
 excellence above and beyond the call of duty.

The Roosevelt Medal: Awarded to those officers who
 have performed feats of diplomacy above and beyond
 the call of duty.

The Duranium Star: Awarded to those officers who
 have consistently performed above and beyond the 
 call of duty, or outside their field of training.

The Order of the Purple Target: Awarded to those 
 officers who are injured in combat. This may be
 awarded in place of, or as a supplement to, the
 Purple Cross, depending on the circumstances. 
 Often, this medal is awarded posthumously.

The Golden Anchor: Awarded to those officers who
 have consistently upheld and acted in accordance
 with the directives, ideals, and regulations of
 StarFleet. These are very rare, and are commonly
 awarded only to 'model officers' of long and
 distinguished service.

More awards may be added by the Admiralty as needed.
