The ship is basically a five deck thick saucer, with the second and fourth decks extending two thirds of the diameter of the saucer, and the first and fifth one half of the diameter. The third deck extends the full width of the saucer, and supports the four nacelle pylons, which extend vertically about one sixth of the saucer's diameter from the outer edge. This takes advantage of a new warp drive design that allows four smaller nacelles in place of two large ones. The ship has no secondary hull, and all of its normal components are integrated into the lower half of the saucer. The CRYSTAL-class is capable of planetfall, and is equipped with retractable landing struts. All CRYSTAL-class starships will be given registry numbers in the 88000 series.
