MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.05 Title: Uptown Baked Apple Categories: Rs, Desserts, Low-cal Yield: 4 Servings 4 sm Apples;Macintosh, 5 oz each 1 c Fruit, mixed, dry, diced 2 ts Butter 1/4 c Apricot jam 8 Sheets frozen phylo dough ;12" x 17" , thawed ;low-fat sour cream ;cinnamon Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Coat jelly-roll pan with non-stick spray. Stand apples upright; core each from top to within 1/2 inch of bottom. Cut 1/4" thick slice from top. Fill with dried fruit; dot with butter. Place 1 TB jam on tops. Place wax paper on work surface; lift one sheet of phyllo onto paper. Coat with non-stick spray. Place another sheet on top; coat again. Stand apple in center of phyllo, lifting both sheets, bring one corner up and over top of apple and down the other side. Repeat with other 3 corners so apple is covered. Press apple into prepared pan; coat with non-stick spray. Repeat with remaining phyllo, spray, and apples. Bake 35 minutes or until phyllo is golden and apples are tender when pierced with a toothpick. Cool 15 minutes on rack. Transfer apples to plates. Halve lengthwise. Serve warm, cut sides up. Top with sour cream and cinnamon, if desired.
