Burning Tips to add to the life of your candles:
- Burn at least one hour for each inch of diameter. The flame needs time to
soften and melt the wax on the outer edge.
- If you burn a 3 inch diameter candle for less than three hours at a time
it will bore a hole right down the middle.
- Always keep the wick trimmed to 1/4 inch. Too much wick will smoke. Before
you light it, pinch the excess wick off.
- NEVER leave a burning candle
unattended.
- Always place a candle on a wax catching base.
- Draft and candles don't mix. Rotate the candle occasionally. There is
always some air movement in a room. Rotating will ensure an even melt.
- Keep candles out of direct sunlight. It can fade colors and cause an
irregular melt.
- Warmer wax melts faster than cooler wax. Candles refrigerated before using
will burn more slowly and evenly. Wrap in foil or plastic before refrigeration
to prevent wicks from absorbing moisture.
- Votive candle holders will clean easily if you add 1/8" of water to the
glass before inserting the candle.
Candle Safety
Whenever you have a lit candle, please take these precautionary measures.

- Position candles away from flammable objects.
- Place freestanding candles in a shallow dish or bowl to catch the wax in
case of a blowout.
