Swabhava's
work originates from the needs represented in Bangalore, capital city
of Karnataka State in India. But work is slowly growing to meet the
needs of rural Bangalore and other districts in Karnataka itself.
Work on sexuality and HIV/AIDS issues in Bangalore has seen remarkable
growth since 1997.
Several organisations have taken issues of MSM (men who have sex with
men), transsexuals, LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender people)
and are working extensively on services like health, support groups,
legal support, documentation and so on. (Click
here to access the framework of organisations in Bangalore working
around sexuality issues). |
