Sarah Ford - July 03: Please can you tell me if there are any tour dates for the sooty show this year as I am desperate to take my Three year old to see it. She has changed her name to Sweep and goes everywhere with him. He is the only one that can get her to do as she is told and I would love for her to see him on tour. She really does love him.
PC SWEEP - May 03: Reply to Mary. Hi Mary, I believe the illustrator for the Daily Mirror books, was a lady by the name of Doris White. Unfortunately I know little about her. Maybe someone out there can help. The books in the Daily Mirror Monday-to-Sunday series, did have removable dustcovers. Hope that helps. A bit.
Mary James - May 03: I have a copy of Sooty's Mystery Mansion, a Daily Mirror book and wondered who the illustrator was. Can anyone help? Also should the books from this series have removable dustcovers? Thanks in advance.
PC SWEEP - May 03: Reply to Tara. Greetings Tara, thanks for your comments. The Izzy Wizzy Tour has just finished its run but there will be a run of shows at seaside destinations during the summer (dates to follow). A new theatre show will begin to tour the UK in the Autumn. I will post the dates and locations on the news page once they have been arranged.

TARA HENDERSON - May 03: HI WE REALLY ENJOYED THE SITE AND WEE KAI WAS LOVELY.. AND SUCH A NICE GESTURE... WHERE CAN I GET TICKETS TO SEE A LIVE SOOTY SHOW IN PANTOMIME OR SOMETHING.. MY WEE GIRL IS 6 AND ADORES THE SHOW.. WE LIVE IN BELFAST BUT DON'T MIND TRAVELING TO ENGLAND..  PLEASE HELP?

PC SWEEP - May 03: Reply to Nick. Hello! The Harry Corbett shows have sadly not been released onto video. You can buy 8mm and 16mm copies of some of the shows (if you have a projector that plays them). They come up for sale on ebay occasionally.

Nick Sobieraj - Apr 03: Could you please tell me if the Harry Corbett Sooty videos are availble to buy, and if so where I would be able to purchase them. Cheers.

Rob - Apr 03: Hi does anyone have a copy on video of the episode from around 1989 called 'Messing About in Boats'. If I remember rightly, this was a really cool episode with a great song in it but it was never released on video.
PC SWEEP - Apr 03: Reply to Andy. Hi Andy, the first Sooty annual was published in 1956 and today in good condition sells for about £30 - £35. On ebay however they tend to go for allot less (presumably because most serious collectors already own a copy). Old Sooty merchandise is becoming more and more collectable. If your annual is indeed published by the Daily Mail then it is very very collectable as all the ones I have seen, are published by the Daily MIRROR!!!! ( Am I being pedantic?) Sweeps just hit me with a bone for being clever. Soz.
Well must dash, as Sweep has disappeared muttering something about cooking
sausages.
Andy - Apr 03: Subject Sootys First Annual. Hi, I found Sooty's first annual in the loft( published by the Daily Mail) and thought it might be worth something. If it is a collectors item could you let me know please. thanks, Andrew.
PC SWEEP - Apr 03: Reply to Graham. Hi Graham, Reference purchasing a Sooty Bear, if you go to my 'News Page' there is a link to Planet Gullane who have a Sooty merchandise page. They sell the Sooty puppets and also the little bean bag characters which are rather nice. (Message to Planet Gullane - I expect commission!)

Graham Godfrey - Apr 03: I would like to purchase a Sooty Bear as a gift for the birth of my Son's new baby - He had a Sooty when he was very young.  Could you recommend a suitable place that i could purchase one? Kind Regards Graham Godfrey.

Vicky - Apr 03: What a kool site! its so cute!

Laura - Apr 03: I have a sooty egg cup which shows sooty as if he was was waving out of a television at you I must  have it at least forty odd years. I was wondering were to get some info on it.

PC SWEEP - Mar 03: Reply to Spanky (interesting name!) Go to ebay.co.uk and search under Sooty and you will find loads of old Sooty videos. If they haven't got the one your looking for, be patient as all the back catalogue appears at some time.

Spanky - Mar 03: Just recently me and my boyfriend remembered how much we used to love Sooty & Co as young kids. We got hold of a video at the rental store, and since then I have become re-obsessed with Sooty (especially Sweep, he's so damn kool!) Can you order videos off the internet at all? Or is it impossible to get them anymore? I have looked EVERYWHERE and cant find anything. We even called our new puppy Sweep! Thankyou for keeping Sooty Sweep Soo and Scampy alive!

Oliava & Ryan - Feb 03: HELLO SOOTY & SWEEP, WE THINK YOU ARE THE BEST. HOPE TO SEE MORE OF YOU SOON!
Sweep fan - Feb 03: Great Site, I would like to know where I can find more Sweep sounds. I have found one site so far. I am starting to talk sweep more and more. My girlfriend thinks its cool.
PC Sweep - Jan 03: Reply to WildGL. Hi Wildgl, If I may say, that's an unusual name. Is it Tibetan? I have a friend in Tibet his name is Fildgl. You may be related. I would be more than happy (what is 'more than happy' hysterical maybe?) to take you up on your kind offer. Sweep says that he wouldn't like to take you up on anything, as he is afraid of heights. Fair enough. Please drop me a line like this one_________ and your information will be assimilated into the collective. What?
I will fully understand if I never hear from you again, as this is the
danger of the internet. You can end up contacting people in desperate need
of psychiatric help. I apologize (they call it care in the community).
Well must go and have a lie down in a dark room.
Although I have know idea who you are (except that your name is wildgl), I
hope you are well, happy and very rich. Thanks for leaving a message.
Best wishes,
Stew & Sweep.
PS
Sooty as a religion? Now there's a thought!
WildGL-Jan 03: First off, this site is excellent! Secondly if you would like help with cataloguing the videos, I have an ever growing collection and currently have some which you don't have details on but do have the pictures.
Do you think we could make Sooty in general a religion?
PC Sweep - Nov 02: Reply to Rosalind. Hi Rosalind. In answer to your query, I'm sorry to say that I've know idea. I know that Liana was very upset at not having her contract renewed by Gullane. I actually thought she was very good and worked well with Richard and Sooty. If anyone out there knows what Liana is up to now, please leave a message.
Rosalind Harding - Nov 02: Do you know any thing about Liana Bridges and what is she doing now?
Leia - Nov 02: This site is fantastic! It is soooo cute - only I didn't know why there were cones here? *laughs* I am definitely going to keep this site in my favorites! Thanks heaps & keep up the good work! Happy fan.
Zoe Sweep-Mother Wareham and Stefan 'Diddy' Homerski: Oct 02: Thought you might appreciate this and the knowledge that grown man and woman in Derbyshire village with entourage of 7 Sweeps and 5 Sootys regularly visit your website.
Our village trip this year was to Scarborough and I wish I had made the detour to the Police Station.  Hopefully I wouldn't have been arrested for wasting Police time . . ?

NATALIE - Oct 02: smartblonde013@yahoo.com I was wondering if anyone knew of where I can buy any sooty videos. I've tried ebay and found some there but am looking for more...can anyone help?

SARAH COOK - Sep 02: As I dipped the soldiers into my dippy eggs this morning I began to wonder how old my Sooty Egg cup really is. I have had this cup since I was a little girl, I’m 45 now. Once breakfast was over, I browsed on the internet and couldn’t believe that my cup was there on the screen. Fascinating!. The one shown is a cream colour where as mine is green. I found it fascinating to see the many different types of cups and read about the Keele Street Pottery. Are there still many of these egg cups in circulation?

LIZZY - Sep 02: I am bemused but very amused that someone has taken the trouble to make this site.
I'm an 80s kid, so I grew up with sooty and sweep and still love them and buy the comic every 8 weeks, it's just a pity they're not still on CITV.
My glove puppet takes pride of place in my room, and I treasure the very blurry memory of being very small and visiting the studios where they made it or something like that.
PC SWEEP - Aug 02: Ref last message, try ebay.co.uk and search under Sooty. There are always numerous Sooty videos and the learn with Sooty series appears most weeks. Hope that helps, if not, then I suggest time travel. Travel back in time to 1989 (try to avoid meeting yourself as a child, or you will  create a time paradox), go into a good video store and you should be able to buy a brand new copy! Just an idea.
YOUJUSTDONTDOIT. Aug 02: GREAT SITE, I GREW UP WITH SOOTY AND NOW MY CHILDREN ARE TOO. SHAME SOOTYS WORLD CLOSED. I AM TRYING TO GET HOLD OF A COPY OF LEARN WITH SOOTY NUMBERS 2 (MULTIPLICATION) AS MY YOUNGEST DROPPED MY COPY AND IT BROKE SEARCHED HIGH AND LOW. ANY IDEAS?
ALBERTA MASLOV - Jul 02: What a brilliant site. My children were 'indoctrinated' in the 80s and are now fans in their own right, watching 'Wet & Wild Water Fun' at university.
DUNCAN - Feb 02: We showed this website to all our Sweeps (and Sootys) and they haven't stopped laughing!!!! (They are always a bit melodramatic). One of our Sweep's wants to know if you have any vacancies- he can dig bones up and sniff out missing sausages.....
WILLIAM BROOKS - Feb 02: I have to say after watching some old episodes of sooty - it is the best thing ever - especially Sweep. Keep up the good work of the web - site!
JOHN BANKS - Feb 02: Sweep is so much funnier than Sooty, he rules!
BAD PC GILL - 011201: It isn't true I was FRAMED.........I will have revenge BAD PC GILL XX.
ROWENA - 241101:

This place with the latest PC Sweep news. Is where talent and lunacy fuse. It has a way, Of brightening my day. By setting out and succeeding to amuse.

They are vital yet largely ignored. Sitting around getting all bored. But they never emit loud groans. Those wonderful wonderful cones. If I could, a 100 I'd hoard.

MART - 161101: Its about time Sweep had his own internet site - he is the star of the Sooty show. Keep up the great work, in honour of the Legend.
FAY - 101101: Sooty & Sweep is my favorite programme ever! I've been watching it since I was born! I liked the pantomime one with everything going wrong. The old ones are the best!
SWEEP - 031101: Reference Sam's message, The first Sooty Annual was published by The Daily Mirror in 1956. The third will therefore date from 1958. The Daily Mirror was at that time running a Sooty Comic strip, and also published the first Sooty novels. Hope that helps.
SAM - 021101: Great site, keep up the good work! Don't know if you can help but I've got Sootys' Third Annual but it doesn't have a date on it. Do you know from what year this dates?
JULIE - 021101: Love the web site, Sweep Rules! PS The Cones are very funny too.
