Candy Apple
Chapter Five
By Crystal 1999

Jacki opened the door and smiled at the hotel worker standing in front of her.

"Hello Miss. I have a delivery for a Miss Jacki Mitchell."

"That's me!"

"Great. Here you go." The man handed her a bouquet of two dozen or so tulips in assorted colors. She paid the man a tip and nearly gasped in surprise. "Oh my goodness! Tulips, my faves!" She inhaled the sweet scent of the flowers just as Brian appeared in the doorway.

"Wow! Cool flowers Jacki! Ready to go?"

"Yeppers! All my stuff is over there next to the closet." As Brian went to gather her luggage, Nick walked up next to her and leaned in to smell the flowers.

"Beautiful flowers. I guess someone thinks that you're pretty special!" he said with a twinkle in his eyes.

"Looks like it. Well, I'll be back later with your food. Oh, and if I find that one game I was telling you about I'll give it to you. I know that it's in one of my suitcases somewhere."

"Great, thanks."

"No problem. See ya later Nick!" She slung two of the bags over her shoulder, holding her flowers in her free hand and walked out of the room, giving him a warm smile. Brian followed her out and said bye to Nick. Nick closed the door and started to work on his Nintendo.

"Thank you so much Brian! I really appreciate this."

"No problem. So, do you wanna go out and grab something to eat?"

"Yeah. I have to bring something back for Nick as well. Let's go get some pizza! We can get it to go, then go to a grocery or something and get some fattening junk food and then grub!"

"Do you always eat unhealthy foods?" Brian laughed as they walked out of their room and down the hall to the elevator.

"Nah, only when I'm in the need of inspiration."

"Inspiration for what?" They got in the elevator and Brian pushed the button for the lobby.

"Well, I'm working on a few new designs for our new line. It's called Strawberry Tea and should be a big hit with youth, especially girls."

"Strawberry Tea? Where'd you get that name from?"

"It's my favorite flavor of Kool-Aid. Anyway, I only have a few designs for the line and I need more, hence the pig out. For some reason greasy foods just give me inspiration for my greatest designs!" They walked out of the hotel building and out to a secluded parking garage. They got in a black minivan and drove out into the city. As they got their pizza and junk food and drove back to the hotel, they talked about the upcoming tour. Brian was obviously excited about the Millennium tour and expressed many ideas for her for costumes and props for the American tour.

They got up to their floor in the hotel and went straight to Nick's room.

"Hey Nick! We got you a medium pizza with extra extra cheese. Also, candy! Take your pick!" Nick took his pizza and pulled out a package of sugar coated sour gummy worms and Rolos. He thanked them and watched as Brian and Jacki retreated back to their room. He sighed and closed the door.

"This is going to be a very interesting tour if both Bone and Bri like her. Funny. Now this is something I could have fun with." Nick laughed to himself and went back to his game.

**A few days later. In Berlin.**

It was midnight and Jacki couldn't sleep. She sat up in her bed and flicked on the light. "I will never get used to this damn time zone and I refuse to let it drain me." She plopped down in the bed again and closed her eyes. A minute later she sat up again, threw the covers away and crawled out. She pulled her hair into a messy bun and smoothed out her white wife-beater tank and gray Adidas shorts. Throwing on a pair of trainers, she walked out of her room and started down the hallway towards the elevator. When she passed by Nick's room she could hear the sound of a video game. She smiled evilly and walked closer to the door. "Let the games begin."
