Chapter 2
By Katie
Casey ran down the street. No use driving her car, her mother
would hear it and try to stop her. She kept running until she
reached the end of the block, and her boyfriend's house.
She climbed up a tree and then jumped onto the roof, like she had
so many times before when sneaking over, and tapped anxiously on
the window. "Come on David, it's freezing out here."
She screamed in her head.
There was a click and then the window slowly opened revealing
David. He smiled up at her. "Hey Case, what's up?" She
brushed past him into the room and shut the window.
"It's fucking cold out there." She said and then looked
around the room to see her friends Rianna, better known as Ria,
and her boyfriend Sam sitting on the bed. She looked at them
expectantly.
"Having a party without me?"
Sam smirked up at her "Of course not Casey. Want some?"
He asked handing over the cigarette he was smoking. She quickly
grabbed it out of his hand and took a puff.
"That feels so good." She sighed and everyone laughed.
"Mother bothering you again?"
"Yes, Stockshit called my mom to inform her that I was
expelled from the school and so she got all pissy saying I was
throwing my education out the window or some shit like
that."
"What'd you do this time?"
"Well, Stocky called me down to his office, like always, and
told me I had one more chance and then I'd be expelled. But then
miss prissy pants stopped me in the halls so I flipped her off
and now I'm expelled."
"Good going Case. Now you can spend more time with us."
"Yeah, thank God. Anyway, I should probably get going I
might as well get her bitching at me over with now."
"Have fun Case."
"Oh I will." She rolled her eyes.
"Hey, since you're not doing anything tomorrow, lets all go
down to Smoky Hill. Brad's got some new shit for us to try. You
in?"
"Hell yeah, I'm in. See ya guys later." Casey jumped
back out the window and walked up to her house.
Casey climbed in through the window once again. Right before she
was about to shut it she heard someone clear their throat. 'Oh
Great' she thought and then turned around to see her mom with a
less than pleased look on her face.
"Hello mom." She smiled sweetly up at her.
"Don't pull that 'hello mom' shit with me Casey. Where'd you
go?"
"Not that it's any of your damn business, but I went to
David's."
Her mom sighed and mumbled to herself 'I should have known'.
"Casey, I was talking to one of my friends tonight, telling
them about all the crap that you have been pulling and this
person agrees with me that you need some straitening out."
Casey rolled her eyes and her mom continued.
"I'm sick of this shit you're pulling with me Casey and
frankly, I can't deal with it anymore. I'm sending you to go live
with Jane Carter."
"What?! You're fucken shitting me right mom? I'm not going
to go live with her!"
"Why not Case, you and Nick used to be best friends."
"Me best friends with that...that...Backstreet Bastard?!?
Hell no mom! That was a momentary lapse of good judgment. I would
NEVER be friends with a Backstreet Boy." Casey spat out as
if 'backstreet boy' was a word that should never be used.
"Well, that's too bad because you getting expelled was also
a momentary lapse of good judgment and whether you like it or
not, you're going to go live with the Carter's!" She yelled
and walked out of Casey's room, slamming the door shut.
