The Township of Maidstone and Area Bicentennial Museum

 

About the Museum:

     Our museum, once the townhall, houses artifacts that reflect life around the 1900's.  Exhibits include classroom, bedroom, and kitchen areas displaying items on loan or donated by township residents.  Our back room holds tools and farming equipment.

The Historic society meets on the second Thursday of each month at 7:30 PM at the museum.  Visitors and new members are always welcome.


Special Events / Activities:

  Children's Summer Program
     (9:30 - 11:30 a.m. Wednesday mornings in August)

  Heritage Day
     (celebrated in February for the public)

  Special Children's Programs -volunteer permitting
     (Easter, Christmas, Halloween)

  Any school groups are welcome to arrange for a visit by calling (519) 727-3766

  • A minimal donation of .50 - 1.00$ is appreciated
