Easter Eggstraviganza 2002

It was that time of year again when chocolate bunnies abound, and the appearance of a certain cotton tailed creature hiding boiled food in the backyard doesn't seem all that strange during a nice Sunday Spring day.   I'm getting more confident in using my still new digital camera, so I hope everybody enjoys the pictures. ^_^

Mia and her boiled Easter egg.

We start things off with my cutie pie of a niece Mia. She is ready to hunt Easter eggs.
Mia and Carly.

Before too much longer, Mia's cousin (and best friend) Carly came over. Those two know how to play.
My cousin Sandy who had a birthday on the 28th of March. ^_^

This is my cousin Sandy. Her and Aunt Evie (her mom) came back with hamburgers for Easter lunch. ^_^
Sandy's daughter Carly with Mia and two other girls.

Here's a good shot of Carly with Mia, (though you can barely see them) Britney and Janeil. They all had fun playing with one another.

Mia, Carly, Janeil, and Britney playing Ring-around-the-Rosey.

Here's another picture of the girls playing Ring-around-the-Rosey. Mia's having the time of her life. Lisa didn't want me to tell'em about the origins of that game. >_>
The kids getting ready to hunt Easter eggs.

Now the time is almost at hand, and the kids are outsaide and lined up. The youngest goes first to ensure that everyone gets a fair shake at finding the eggs.
Kids hunting, and Aunt Evie taking video of the whole thing.

Aunt Evie was taking video for Lisa of the whole egg hunt. I was lazy and stayed near the entrance to the back yard for my next pictures.
More egg hunting...

I should've used my 2x's zoom lense that's inside my camera, but I would not have had as many pictures taken that day.

More egg hunting shots.

Yes, more egg hunting shots from where I sat. Please excuse the sun glare.
And even more!

Zack, Misty, Tony, Dianne, and even my Dad later joined in on the hunt to help the kids.

Some more...

You can just barely see Mom, Lisa, and Mia. I think that's my Uncle Zack, but I'm not too sure.
One last egg hunting shot just to be sure.

Aunt Evie and Uncle Zack have a big back yard just right for the Easter Bunny to hide his eggs.
Mia's Easter basket.

When it was over, I wanted to get a picture of Mia's basket with all the eggs she found. Looks like a good haul Mia the Easter Girl Manning!
Carly not too thrilled I was taking her picture.

I think the kids were starting to get tired as Mia didn't want any more pictures taken, and Carly didn't look too thrilled either. A happy Easter to one and all!
