Keeper of Infinite Earths  - The Overseers of the Law

Created by Bob Justice

Ultiman
Alter Ego:
Ted Peters
Occupation: Soldier
Known Relatives: Senator Kyle Peters, father
Group Affiliation: The Overseers of the Law
Base of Operations: Washington, DC

Background/History:
Ted was attention starved as a child since his father was a career politician and his mother had passed away in his early teens. He grew up in boarding or military schools, usually expelled from one to another. His family name and money covered as much as possible, but his bad attitude always seemed to get the better of any situation. His stint in the Army would have ended in the brig or dishonorable discharge, if not for the Ultimate Human Potential Suit Project. His father had been a covert backer of the illegally funded U.H.P.S.P. and he used his clout to get his son transferred to the secret Project to avoid publicity. The prototype suit increased strength, speed, and gave the wearer the ability to do a mental attack. The cost of the suit was phenomenal and a Senatorial investigation stumbled over the improper funding, so the project was scrubbed and meant to be erased from existence. However, Ted refused to give up the suit. He threatened to expose the entire project and ruin his father, so a compromise was reached. He was transferred to the Overseers of the Law under the condition of keeping the origin of his suit a secret. The Overseers have so far kept him on a short leash, mostly by reminding him that he has to take the suit off occasionally and then, he’s just a normal guy.

Personality/Motivations:
Ultiman is a self-centered, ego maniacal jerk. He thinks he is better that anyone and feels that he should be the leader of the team. Oddly enough, that has driven him to actually train and become reasonably skilled. Of course, he never fails to attempt to undermine Law Keeper’s authority, creating friction whenever possible.

Quote: "You realize the "Ulti" is short for "Ultimate" which means "the best", don’t you?"
