Background/History:
Dr. Koloff returned to Russia and continued his studies in super-human biology
in an attempt to finally perfect the formula that had been used for the Stars
and Stripe Project in the USA. He was trying for a serum that did not require
hundreds of specific genetics, something simpler. He sought a way to create an
almost disposable super-soldier quickly. He thought he had finally done. A
simple peasant worker volunteered for a chance at a new life. He was injected
with the new serum and promptly died. At least
he appeared to be dead, he went in to a deep coma that turned into a cocoon-type
stage, when he recovered he was not a man anymore. He was a monstrous mass of
muscle with no trace of his former personality. When Dr. Koloff arrived to
dissect his failure, he found the monster raging. He had just enough time to hit
the alarm before he was killed. The secrets of his formulas died with him.
Hammer and Sickle arrived and made the mistake of attacking the brute. Even
caught off-guard, Super Soviet was able to kill Hammer and it was all that
Sickle could do to escape with his life. The Red Guardsman arrived and quickly
realized that direct confrontation was not the proper tact. He went openly to
the monster and the brute on some level recognized him as the symbol of their
country. The Guardsman ran with that idea and used Super Soviet’s confusion to
convince him that he was a part of the team and he was on a mission to save the
Motherland. He convinced him that Hammer had been a traitor and that he, the
Super Soviet, was a hero. The gambit worked, but not for long. Super Soviet was
too unbalanced to keep under control and he just leaped away. He roams the world
creating havoc wherever he goes.
Personality/Motivations:
His dementia makes him incredibly unpredictable and very dangerous. There is no
logic to his behavior, fortunately for the world, he tends to enjoy solitude.
