Background/History:
Anna was a dedicated body builder with one small problem. Her genetics defied
her determination. No matter what she tried to add mass, it failed. Experimental
steroids and other legal and illegal supplements ravaged her body and then, she
heard that Morris Manto was looking for a female test subject.
Trafficking in the underground black market, she knew that Crusher was a product
of Manto, so she jumped at the chance. He performed the same basic procedure on
Anna that he had tried unsuccessfully so many times prior to Crusher. She went
into cardiac arrest, as had so many others. Manto used an electrical charge to
attempt to revive her and the effect was blinding. Whether it was her genetics
or some sort of reaction to the various treatment she’d tried over the years,
she jerked up glowing as sparks and bolts of lightning arced through her body
and when it stopped, she was huge, as strong as Crusher, and healthy since the
damaged tissues seemed to burn away. Her gratitude to Manto was boundless and
Crusher took her under his wing to teach her how to safely use her great
strength. Although she had no real stake in Injustice, she, like Crusher, would
do virtually anything for Dr. Manto. Crusher and the newly christened Power
Woman fell in love and were married, then once Manto died, they retired, paid
their debt to society, and ended up as trainers for the Protectors Academy.
Personality/Motivation:
Her entire life had been wrapped around her refusal to accept her physical
limitation. Once she had achieved the look she wanted, she was left in the
frustrating position of having it not matter much. Her powers and their dubious
origins made it impossible for her to compete professionally, so she turned her
energies to Manto and then, her husband. Now, she has a more peaceful and
fulfilling life working with others to attain their goals without making the
same kinds of mistakes she had.
