Keeper of Infinite Earths - INJUSTICE
Created by Matt Parmenter
Xeno
Alter Ego: Richard Pichard / Kexxich
Occupation: Member of Injustice
Known Relatives: None
Group Affiliation: Injustice
Background/History:
Many years ago in a far off galaxy, the entity known as Kexxich was branded a
criminal for his attempts to overthrow his world using his great mental
abilities and was imprisoned in a crystal, as was their custom. The crystals
were stored in a satellite orbiting their homeworld. The prison satellite was
struck by a meteor and became stuck in it’s tail, trailing behind as it
hurtled through space. Eventually, the satellite decayed and the crystals were
loose in the vacuum of space. Many were destroyed, but some maintained their
integrity. The one containing Kexxich eventually landed on Earth during a meteor
shower and ended up in a travelling museum display. Dr. Morris Manto entered the
Natural History Museum of London intending to steal some prehistoric DNA samples
for an idea he had to create a giant monster when he saw the crystal. It seemed
to sing to him in a strange alien melody. He smashed the case and stole it
before he fully realized what he was doing. He studied it and discovered it had
great power, but it needed a focus, a human host. Manto searched for a suitable
host, a criminal with a quick mind, but lacking the leadership qualities that
might undermine his control of Injustice and the artifact. He found Richard,
adept at figuring out security systems and lockpicking, but with no real drive
to be anything other than comfortable. Manto made a necklace to hold the crystal
and gave it to Richard after hypnotizing him and ordering him to clear his mind.
It worked perfectly and he gained the mental powers Manto had detected. Over
time, however, the crystal bonded with him and his form began to change to
crystal as well. His personality began to change with his body as the Kexxich
persona attempted to assert itself, but the hypnosis kept it subservient to
Manto. Eventually the two merged into one being not quite Richard and not quite
Kexxich waiting for a direction, a direction supplied by Malcome Manto reforming
Injustice.
Personality/Motivation:
His physical alteration left Xeno far removed from a human; for instance, he no
longer eats food, processing light as sustenance. This has made him aloof and
distant from people. As he communicates usually in first person plural, he seems
to supply his own company. He feels driven to rule, but he has no great desire
to follow through on it.
Quote: "We are not pleased."
