Samizdata From the Geo-Gulags: 4 August 1999

Don't think that this struggle is hurting us that badly. We are pissed off that we cannot update our web site, but since we started fighting them,

YAHOO! INC. STOCK HAS FALLEN OVER FIFTY POINTS!

Yes, loyal readers, our David v. Goliath fight to obtain free and unrestricted access to our site and rest assured that our site's contents won't be stolen by Yahoo! Inc. or their un-named international "partners" has driven down the price of Yahoo! stock from about US $175 per share to US $121 per share -- a loss of millions upon millions of dollars for Yahoo! Inc. and its stockholders just so that they can guarantee themselves the privlege of plundering each and every GeoCities homestead.

For copyright reasons (and because we can't post images here in the Guest Book for some reason) we can't show you the chart of what it has cost Yahoo! Inc. to carry on their fight to plunder GeoCities with us spearheading the Geo-Resistance, but we do urge you to click through to MSN MoneyCentral and look at the chart for Yahoo! Inc.'s stock prices. Trust us -- it's a very funny sight for anyone who is interested in maintaining Internet privacy and protecting copyrights and trademarks from pirates and "sharers." You do NOT need to be a stock wizard to appreciate this chart of Yahoo! Inc. stock prices -- it looks like something out of Mad™ magazine or a Bugs Bunny™ cartoon!

Probably sooner rather than later, Yahoo! Inc. will simply give up their plan to plunder GeoCities and will let us back onto our site, Terri. When they do, we shall finish cleaning up our main page.

If the kids from South Park could fight to save Canada from their mothers, we can fight to save GeoCities from Yahoo! Inc. It's "what Brian Boitano would do!!!"

Any other Yahoo! customers or GeoCities members who have been victimized by Yahoo! Inc.'s take-over of GeoCities are STRONGLY encouraged by us to join in the fray. Eventually we'll all be able to finish fixing and updating our pages without fear that our material will be stolen by Internet bandits.

Here ends the 4 August 1999 Samizdatum from the Geo-Gulags.

SAMIZDATA FROM THE GEO-GULAGS: 24 AUGUST 1999

Our fan pages for Christopher Masterson, Danny Masterson, and for "That 70s Show" have been mirrored into exile onto Tripod and partially updated. Please change your "bookmarks" and "favorites" listings to reflect these new URLs:

  • CHRISTOPHER MASTERSON: https://members.tripod.com/the-grand-panjandrum/chrismasterson.html

  • DANNY MASTERSON: https://members.tripod.com/the-grand-panjandrum/dannymasterson.html

  • "THAT 70s SHOW": https://members.tripod.com/the-grand-panjandrum/70show.html

  • ESTEBAN POWELL: https://members.tripod.com/the-grand-panjandrum/esteban.html

  • ETHAN EMBRY: https://members.tripod.com/the-grand-panjandrum/ethan.html

With the exception of "pop-ups" (over which we have no control), these pages are 100% advertisement-free.

Please note that, with the exception of Esteban's, these "mirrored" pages have not been 100% updated yet, but the new information on Ethan Embry comes from Ethan himself, and the new information on Esteban comes from Esteban himself. The infomation on Christopher and Danny comes from their agent and a variety of other sources (as usual).

Our main page has been divided into sections (but not "frames") for faster loading and for easier reading, but we continue to resist "frames" for the benefit of those of our visitors inthe USA (and in other countries especially) who cannot use "frames."

REVIEWS OF BLAIR WITCH, DEEP BLUE SEA, MYSTERY MEN, RANDOM ACTS OF VIOLENCE, and RETURN TO INNSMOUTH:

These, and other capsule film reviews are now located at https://members.tripod.com/the-grand-panjandrum/index2.html . With the exception of Random Acts of Violence, full reviews are not yet available for these films due to everyone being kept busy "mirroring" pages from our homestead into exile.

We again apologize for the inconvenience that this is causing our vistors, but, as we have said before, THANK YAHOO for forcing us to migrate our data to the freer (and less porno-tainted) environment at Lycos/Tripod.
