a blue cloak... Shall unite the lost world with us once again...
And shall bring peace and prosperity once and for all.
The war called the Seven Days of Fire ended the industrial age
1000 years ago. Now a forest that gives off deadly gas, the
Decayed Sea, rules the world. In this world, without a mask your
lungs will deteriorate in 5 minutes. The gigantic insects rule
the forest. If the humans try to burn the forest or kill one
insect, the king of the forest, Ohmu, will attack the cities.
A princess of the Valley of the Wind, Nausicaa,
governs in place of her ill father. One night, a Tormekian ship
crashes in the valley. Nausicaa saves a prisoner of the ship,
Rasuteru, the princess of Pejite. Rasuteru asks to burn all the
cargo in the ship and dies.
The crashed ship of Tormekia held the egg of the giant that
caused the Seven Days of Fire. The day after the crash, the
royals of Tormekia comes to reclaim their position, kills
Nausicaa's father, and takes over the Valley of the Wind. The
ruler, Kushana, decides to take Nausicaa back to Tormekia with
her. On the way back to Tormekia they are attacked by Pejite's
gunship. All of Tormekia's ships crash into the Decayed Sea and
Nausicaa, Kushana and some others escape on a spare gunship.
Nausicaa departs alone on her mehve, her personal glider, to save
Pejite's gunship that also crashed in the Decayed Sea.
Nausicaa saves the boy who was riding Pejite's gunship. His name was Asuberu,
Rasuteru's brother. They encounter upon quicksand at the bottom
of the Decayed Sea where the air is clean. There they find out
the truth about the Decayed Sea. The Decayed Sea was born to
clean the human world and the insects were born to protect the
forest. After the trees took in the pollution from the soil they
turned it into sand and fell to the bottom of the forest. In the
Valley of the Wind, the giant was starting to take its shape. The
Pejite people during the absence of their prince were planning to
destroy the Valley of the Wind before the giant completely awoke
from its sleep. They planned to make the insects destroy the city.
Nausicaa who tries to warn her people is captured in Pejite's
dungeon. Rasuteru's twin sister decides to change places with
Nausicaa in the dungeon so Nausicaa can go warn her people.
Nausicaa was about to fly out of Pejite's ship when a Tormekian
ship invades them.
Yupa, Nausicaa's teacher, comes to help Pejite's ship from
danger and Mito, a friend of Nausicaa's, takes Nausicaa back to
the Valley of the Wind on his gunship. The armies of Ohmu have
already started to charge towards the valley. A small Pejite ship
was luring them with an Ohmu's baby. Nausicaa tries to stop them
and the small ship crashes to the ground. Although the baby Ohmu
is safely on the ground, the armies of Ohmu continues to charge
against the valley. Kushana who had safely come back to the
valley decides to use the giant. The giant was not completely
ready yet and instantly collapses into slush. Nausicaa orders the
pilots of the small ship to transport her and the baby in front
of the charging Ohmus. The Ohmus run over the baby and Nausicaa,
but stops before they reach the valley. Nausicaa and the baby
have miraculously not lost their lives and the people of the
valley praise with joy to see their princess once again.
