A Bit About Me

Hi!

I'm Ben, welcome to my homepage.

You'll find an unusual combination of things here, there's no real reason for anything, it's just me.

I am an animation student at the 'Glamorgan Centre For Art And Design Technology' in South Wales, UK. You can visit their web page via the Pontypridd College page at pontypridd.ac.uk It's not a great site, since it hasn't been updated for a couple of years.

My Taste In Music

My other interests include music of many forms. I guess the most important to me is the Disco and Glam Rock from the 70s, I guess I'm just a 70's kid at heart! I was born into the world of Glam in 1976, so perhaps that has something to do with it. Maybe not, since I also like things like The Kinks and Jimi Hendrix, from the 60s. As I say, I have diverse taste!

The Wombles

As part of my HND in animation, I had to write an essay about some British animation. To help define 'Britishness' I chose to look at The Wombles - a classic childrens animation from the 1970's - as it has recently been revived by a Canadian studio. To find out more, go to my Wombles area. This is where my web page began and will hopefully make up the majority of my site. Having been looking for information on the net, I came to the conclusion that there wasn't enough out there. We strive to conquer the world! (well maybe not)

My Work

I am in my second year at the moment, working on a three minute film involving a clown, a radio and a chess set. At some point in the not too distant future (hopefully) I will add some preview clips to this site. It may take a while, since I can only work on this site while at college and my work has to take presedence.
