Celebrating Intercultural Dialogue
Time 2003 will be a whirlwind of activities, organized around the 50th anniversary of the UNESCO Associated Schools Project.
Highlights of Aspnet’s past will be put in the spotlight, young citizens of the world share each other’s present in “The intercultural dialogue” and together we will take a look at ‘Our future’.

Preparation
First module (September 29th to October 10th)
1. Start by getting in groups from 2 to 5 people (depending on the size of the class).
2. Students write a a short paragraph introducing each other. (first names, nicknames and why such nickname if any, age, where they study and live, a short description of their city and country, interests and plans for the future, motto, burning questions). They may also compose a little poem about themselves or the group or use drawings to describe themselves. Graphic material and photographs of the group may be posted to headquarters. See examples.
3. Teachers or the groups post this first written production on the forums mentioned at the top of the page, in their language category (lower English or Français I / higher English or Français II ), in the folder School and Class Profiles by Country. Teachers should open a folder for the information about their school and each group will open a folder specifying country, school and subject . See example.
4. Students read the various profiles and respond personally inside the folders (post reply). General questions they may have to the other schools and groups should be posted in the folder Questions we have for Other Countries
Second module (October 12th to November 8th)
1. The different groups brainstorm in class on the word : CELEBRATING/CELEBRATIONS and write a short paragraph DEFINING what this means to them (see help for teachers).
2. The students post their paragraphs and suggestions on the forum in the folder Celebrations in your Country and Family ( specifying country, school and subject in the subject line of the message)
3. Students read the various paragraphs and react individually inside the folder (post reply) . General questions they may have to the other schools and groups should be posted in the folder Questions we have for Other Countries
Third module (November 10th to November 20th)
1. Students choose from the different themes (to be posted shortly) , discuss them in class, prepare their statements and suggestions and post them in the folder How we see it.
2. Students organize their Time Day on November 20th according to their suggestions, looking back at their past, sharing their present and take a look at our future.
