Background/History:
Malcolm was a typical English farm boy raised with a great
respect for the heroic legends of Britain’s past and a determination to live
up to the standards and principles of the knights of olde. While clearing an
over-grown area, he came across a hollow tree and prepared to chop it down. When
his ax struck the trunk, it burst open revealing a suit of armor and a huge
mace.
“Put down that ax, boy, ‘tis not a fit weapon for a warrior of the realm!” Malcolm was startled by the voice that seemingly came from nowhere. He turned to find an old man with a long white beard, dressed in a robe-exactly the way he’d imagined Merlin, the wizard of Camelot. “In Britain’s hour of need, a warrior always arises to right the wrongs and protect the weak. Will ye be the man to be the hero for this time?” Barely able to speak, Malcolm nods and the armor appears on him, fitting him perfectly. “Do your best, this moment was ordained years before. I must go.” and the mage vanished as quickly as he had appeared.
Malcolm trained with his mystical weaponry until he
could use it like the knights he dreamed of and use it he would in defense of
his native land and innocents everywhere.
Personality/Motivation:
Friendly, yet hardened by years of working on the farm, his
sense of duty and honor drives him to match the legendary deeds of the Knights
of the Round Table.
