Background/History:
Born on Christmas Day, the Dions, a typical middle class family from Montreal,
named their daughter Noel. When Noel was nine, her mother awoke to the sound of
the family dog barking. When she went to see what was the matter, she found the
back door open, the dog barking, but not wanting to go out in the bitter cold
night air, and Noel, in her nightgown, oblivious to the cold and building a
snowman. Over the years, Noel caused strange things to happen, freezing the bath
water or making rain into snow in the summer. Her parents were concerned about
the situation, afraid that something bad could come of it. When she was 15, the
plans for a Canadian super team went public and Noel’s parents thought that
might be the solution to the problem. The government initially accepted her for
the next year of their program, but Image and Photon Queen defecting from the
program ended those plans. To make up for that, the government sponsored her to
the Protectors Academy and she went to the US for training. Although learning
English quickly was difficult, she adapted and learned to master her powers.
When she was ready to graduate from the Academy, Northern Light was founded and
she was invited to join. She accepted and returned to her home country as Frost
Bite.
Personality/Motivations:
Very matter of fact, which is sometimes misconstrued as being unfriendly, she
simply likes to get the job done. She likes to use her powers to the best of her
ability.
