THE TRICKSTER

Ah, DC's neutral character. At first, many-a-players were confused by the JLA character with no Hero/Villain code. Some thought that it was an error and there were 2 versions, but no dice. This Energy/Intellect character, however, packs enough stuff to keep your games both fun and competitive. Let's see what the character who Mark Hammil played on Flash is capable of.

THE TRICKSTER <JL> 6-5-1-7 (19)
Ah, the neutral guy from JLA. At 19 points, you don't need to worry about bringing in the X-Babies to make your team legal. His grid provides the obvious possibility for entrance in any Energy/Intellect deck. The 1 Strength isn't a big downside since many other E/I characters are low in Strength, too. Let's see what The Trickster has in store for your opponents, shall we?

BAIT AND SWITCH (JK) <JL>
All Hits with only Intellect icons in the Permanent Record of all Front Line characters are moved to the Permanent Record of one of The Trickster's teammates.

Hmmmm.... In certain cases, it could work. Personally, we don't use it. Reason: It could easily KO one of your characters, as "Intellect icons" are found on all types of cards, including those nasty teamworks which almost always carry some heavy Spectrum power. Better leave this one out if you want your team to live.

CLEAN GETAWAY (AG) <JL>
Avoid 1 attack.

There's really not much to say about this one. Hey, it'll stop nearly anything thrown at him. Put one or two or three in.

DON'T MIND ME... (AA) <JL>
Acts as a level 4 Intellect attack. May make 1 additional attack.

Tell ya what.... Even though it's an AA, Trickster's low on Special attacks, so we usually end up putting one in. Don't kill us! It just gives him that little something

THE SHELL GAME (FB) <JL> [OPD]
Target character must choose 1 card from The Trickster's hand. If card is an attack, Target is Hit. If not, chosen card is discarded to the Power Pack.

SMOOTH TALKER (JM) <JL> [OPD]
The Trickster may move 1 Mission Card from the Defeated Missions Pile to the Reserve Missions Pile.
