    Introduction:

An Absolute_ Phoenix, Az Wm. Branham 63-0127

And the "absolute," according to Webster's Dictionary, it says it's "perfect in itself; unlimited in power; primarily an ultimate." An absolute, it's used many times. It's the last word. It's the Amen.

You hear people say, "Absolutely, that's it." That's the last thing. It's unlimited. See? That takes from here on. There's nothing else in its way. It's the supreme. It's the ultimate. And an ultimate is an ultimate because you've reached the end. It's the Amen. That's all.”

The absolute authority in our system of Justice is the Supreme Court. One can appeal to the Appellate court, to the State Supreme Court, but once it reaches the U.S. Supreme Court there is no more appeal. Once their decision is rendered that becomes the Law of the land. That is the Final authority in our system of Justice.

The Final Authority for a christian, is not the Church, it’s not a Pope, or even the Pastor, the Final Authority is the Word of God. God’s Word is our Absolute!

Romans 3:4 Let God be true, but every man a liar! As it is written, that thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged.”

    The First Law

"Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation." (2 Peter 1:20)

The Bible does not need anyone to say it doesn't mean what it says. If you deny the word you are a Liar. An Antichrist. Anything that denies the Word is anti-christ for Jesus Christ is the Word of God (John 1:1,14)

And if a man or woman is filled with the Holy Spirit, your heart within you will punctuate every promise of God with an "Amen!" That's right. When someone tells you, "The days of miracles is past. There is no such thing as divine healing, the Baptism of the Holy Ghost was for another age”, or “Baptism doesn’t matter how its done”, You will refuse to believe them and stay right with the Word. Because the Holy Spirit wrote the Word (2 Peter 1:21), and is the Word, and will agree with every word that he wrote!

    Is Doctrine Important?

"My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh." (Proverbs 20:20-22)

The Bible is not words of men but the Words of the Living God.

“It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.” (John 6:63)

Doctrine is important because Paul wrote that all scripture was profitable to us. It has meaning for our lives.

His words they are spirit and they are life. The Gospel is not just about getting saved, that is part of it, but it’s about the Life of God in the believer. Salvation means God’s life indwelling the believer. The word salvation comes from the Greek word ZOE, which means "God’s own life".

Paul said, "I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me." (Galatians 2:20)

God’s word they are Life. The Life we now live we live by the Faith of the Son of God, it is no longer us that lives, but Christ that lives in us. It is no longer our will, but "thy will be done." His will, and His word.

Jesus said we are to live by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God!” That is not negotiable it is a commandment!

Do you realize you can absolutely worship God in vain?

“Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men” (Mark 7:7)

How did they worship him in vain? By their doctrine! That was the error of the Pharisees, they taught man made dogma and made it equal to the Word. They exalted the Talmud (mans ideas) to be equal with or even greater than the Torah (the Word). In vain they worshipped him by doing so. Only the Word is the Final Authority, the Absolute! Not man made denominations and dogma's, only Jesus Christ the Word!

Just because we profess faith in Christ does not guarantee us we will make it. You might speak in tongues, shout, dance in the spirit, cast out devils, and still be rejected!

“Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven” (Matthew 7:21)

Only those who do the Will of the Father will enter in, according to Jesus himself. What is his will?

“Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.”

The word of God is his Will.

“But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves” (James 1:22)

Jesus said, “Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find him so doing.” Doing what? The word!

In our Text scriptures the Bible says ALL SCRIPTURE is given for Correction, and Instruction in Righteousness to prepare us for every good work. And He that refuses to be corrected by the Word shall die! That means to be lost!

So we see it is very important to know what the Bible teaches us, how we should live, and to understand Bible doctrine. In fact it is critical!

    Majoring on a Major

I heard someone say once let’s not major on a minor. No, let’s not, let’s major on a major, and that Major is the word of God. All Scripture is given by inspiration the apostle wrote, every word Jesus Said.

If Jesus said teaching doctrines of men was vain worship, then lets worship him correctly.

“God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth”

There’s no way around it. God must be worshipped in Truth. That means understanding Bible doctrine! Understanding the teaching of Jesus and the apostles. Apostolic Doctrine!

So many today want to major on minors of praise and worship music, finances, intellectual talk, philosophy, and teach false doctrine to the people; by telling them they are all-right, it’s ok, it doesn’t matter how you live, how you worship, what name you use, how you approach God. LIARS! Just like the Pharisees.

Notice what Jesus told them: "Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it."

They that worship God must worship him in spirit and TRUTH. The pharisees did not worship him in truth. They taught for doctrine the commandments of men. They were Liars Jesus said and abode not in the Truth. What is Truth?

    "Thy Word is Truth"(John 17:17)

The Word is our Absolute, and there can be no other absolute. You can't say, "Well, my church is my absolute. My creed is my absolute, my philosophy is my absolute." If Christ is your Absolute, you must believe Christ's Word. Then that is what comes first! The Word! And God is the Word!

Can you Pass the Doctrine Test?

“Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God, Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.” (Hebrews 6:1)

How can we go onto perfection without first laying down the foundation that the church is built upon which is the teaching of all the Holy apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ (the Word) being the chief cornerstone?

Notice these doctrines: Repentance from dead works, Faith towards God (without Faith it is impossible to please him), doctrine of Baptisms, and the laying on of hands (prayer for the sick), the resurrection, and eternal judgment.

These are essential doctrines of Christian Faith as taught by the apostles. Now Baptism is one of them. This is not a minor it is a major. Everyone ever baptized in the New Testament was Baptized in Jesus name. There’s no other form of Biblical Christian baptism. Show me anywhere where anyone was ever baptized except in the name of our Lord.

It meant enough to Paul that when he met a couple of Baptists in Acts the 19th chapter and he asked them how were they baptized, they said John’s baptism (water baptism). He said that wasn’t good enough and commanded them to be re-baptized in the Name of Jesus Christ. There’s no other Name given under heaven whereby we MUST be saved! (Acts 4:12) It is the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ that we are identified with in baptism.

“Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead.” (Colossians 2:2)

Jesus himself made Baptism a condition of true Bible salvation. It is a commandment, something that we are to do.

He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned."(Mark 16:16)

And he said unto them, "Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day: AND that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in HIS NAME among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. And ye are witnesses of these things." (Luke 24:46-48)

On the day of Pentecost the people asked what must we do to be saved?

“Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.” (Acts 2:38)

“The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ:” (1 Peter 3: 21)

The disciples all baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.

“But when they believed Philip preaching the things concerning the kingdom of God, and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women.” (Acts 8:12)

“For as yet he was fallen upon none of them: only they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.” (Acts 8:16)

“And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. Then prayed they him to tarry certain days” (Acts 10:48)

“When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus” (Acts 19:5)

“And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord.” (Acts 22:16)

“For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.” (Galatians 3:27)

The only place those who don’t baptize in Jesus name can go is Matthew 28:19, and here the Revelation of the word shows it’s the NAME, not titles of the one God. Jesus did not say to baptize in the name of God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Ghost. That is not even Bible. Nor did he say in the Names (Plural) of Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. He said in the Name (singular). And Father is not a name, Son is not a name, Holy Ghost is not a name, its what God is, he is a spirit. No one says to you “Father, Son, Person come here.” See? It’s the NAME. And there is only one Name! The disciples all had that revelation as the record shows- they baptized in Jesus name! The Bible- The Final Authority- says so.

Baptism in Jesus name is an essential part of Christian doctrine. We must worship God in spirit and in truth. There is but one God, and one savior. One Lord, One Faith, One Baptism! (Ephesians 4:5)

God's Only Provided Place of Worship

The Old Testament was types and shadows of the good things to come the Bible says in Hebrews. God required a sacrifice for sin, and there was only ONE provided place where God would accept that sacrifice.

Deuteronomy 16: 5-6 Thou mayest not sacrifice the passover within any of thy gates, which the LORD thy God giveth thee:

But at the place which the LORD thy God shall choose to place HIS NAME in, there thou shalt sacrifice the passover at even, at the going down of the sun, at the season that thou camest forth out of Egypt.

God would not accept the Passover sacrifice which was only a type, of the good thing that was to come, except in the place that he had chosen. In the place that God had chose to place HIS NAME in, the scripture says.

You shall not worship the Lord in any of the gates, that the Lord God giveth thee he said, but only in the place that God had chosen. Not the place of your choosing, not the way you think it should be done, but in the place that God chose. He give them gates, but he said the Lord thy God will not meet you in there.

But the Lord God has chosen a gate. A certain place he would meet man. He's chosen a gate, an entranceway, a door. It is the ONLY PLACE GOD HAS CHOSEN TO PLACE HIS NAME IN!

Jesus said in Saint John the 10th chapter,

Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep.

And again, I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.

I AM the Way, the Truth, and the Life, no man cometh to the Father but by me.(John 14:6)

Jesus is that gate, that door, there is no other way, there is no other gate, no other door, and no other name.

It is a Revelation! There was only one place that God the Father chose to place HIS NAME and that is in the NAME OF JESUS CHRIST! JESUS = JEHOVAH SAVIOR!

There’s only one place God will ever meet man and that is in the person of and in the NAME of the Lord Jesus Christ, there is no other provided place of worship.

God will not accept you in the Name of Baptist, Methodist, Nazarene, Presbyterian, Pentecostal, Charismatic or in any other gate except the one he has provided. Jesus Christ is the Word, and the Holy Spirit leads to that Word, and there is a Word of God to the Hour we live in! The Holy Spirit leading with a scriptural voice, a Biblical Message to “come out” of the False denominations and come back to the Word of God! The Holy Spirit pointing to the scriptures that are to be fulfilled in our day! You must believe it! God has a Word-Bride that will believe it and make herself ready for a Rapture!

If you are truly born again, regenerated, baptized with the Holy Ghost into Jesus Christ, then you are quickened to every Word. Your Spirit in you will punctuate "Amen" to every Word of the Bible. Outside of that, if it shakes its head on one, you get rid of that spirit. It's not the Spirit of God that would dispute the Word of God. The Spirit of God leads to Truth, the Word, and keeps the Word of God. Not only does he believe It, but he makes It live. The Holy Spirit manifests the Word of God.

Denying the Lord that Bought Them

Baptism in Jesus name is critical because he died for our sins and the Bible says there is no other Name under heaven were we must be saved but in that Name. At the Name of Jesus every knee shall bow, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father!

“But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.”

How can one deny baptism in Jesus name when he is the one who purchased our salvation? They fail to understand who Jesus Christ was. He was God incarnate in human flesh. Not a third of God, he was God himself. By denying this one denies what God did for us. For a discussion on the Deity Click Here.

Why is correct understanding of the Godhead important?

Because those that worship God must worship him in spirit and in TRUTH! That is not a scripture one can compromise on. He said we MUST do it!

Jesus made it clear, “I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I AM, ye shall die in your sins.” (John 8: 24)

There it is, the Truth. It is a damnable heresy to deny who Jesus Christ was and what he did for us, and that it was all in him, and salvation is in his name. Jesus said except you believe that he is the I AM, the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last (not a second), the all of it, that in him "dwelt all the FULLNESS of the Deity in bodily form" (Colossians 1:8) then you will die in your sins. That is serious stuff!

The Bible is our judge, our final authority. The Word of God is Life to us who believe. It tells us how we should approach God, how we should worship, and how we should live. It is the Absolute and Final Authority and it is profitable to us. It is profitable for correcting our errors, profitable in instructing us in his ways instead of going our own way, and it is profitable for doctrine that we may be justified in his sight.

"The just shall live by Faith" (Habakuk 2:4, Romans 1:17, Galatians 3:11, Hebrews 10:38) and "Faith cometh by hearing and hearing by THE WORD OF GOD!" (Romans 10:17).

Notice: "According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue" (2 Peter 1:3) God has given us everything we need "pertaining to Life and Godliness". How? "through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue"

"Bow down thine ear, and hear the words of the wise, and apply thine heart unto my knowledge." (Proverbs 22:17)

Man Shall live by Every WORD that proceeds from the Mouth of God, ALL scripture is inspired and by that Word he has given us everything we need to know that pertains to Life and Godliness, that we may be prepared for every good work, that we may walk uprightly before him, being justified by Faith through the hearing and receiving of the Word of God, we obtain knowledge of God through His Word so we can be DOERS of the Word!

Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

God has given us a Final Authority on all matters that we may Hear, Receive, and ACT upon his Word. That we might have Life, God's Life, and have it more abundantly.

    Amen! and Amen!
