Triple ARIA Award winning Monsieur Camembert will present their exciting new sound – the Monsieur Camembert Big Band, in a special live show at the @ Newtown venue.
Helping to create the Monsieur Camembert sound over the years has been the percussionless rhythm section i.e. a band with no drums. UNTIL NOW! For the Big Band shows, Monsieur Camembert will not only be extending to a 3-piece horn section, but will also be adding percussionist Jess Ciampa into the mix. Add a Gypsy violinist into the equation, and the result is the most remarkable “wall of sound’” and the most rhythmically and melodically intense, exciting Monsieur Camembert sound EVER!!!
Edouard Bronson, Vladimir Khusid and Stuart Vandegraaf will together be juggling 10 horns, with Jim Pennell on guitar, Mark Harris on Double Bass, In Siberia Tonight’s Marcello Maio on piano and accordion, Hungarian Gypsy multi-instrumentalist Andras Racz on violin and vocals, Yaron Hallis on vocals and rhythm guitar, and the amazing Jess Ciampa on assorted percussion.
