The child asked…

“Is there a God?”

And the old man smiled and looked towards the sun.

 

The child asked….

“Does God ever speak?”
And the old man cupped his ear to hear the birds singing.

 

The child asked….

“Does God ever watch us?”
And the old man raised his arms to the wind.

 

The child asked…

“Does God know who I am?”
And the old man smiled at the rainbow in the sky.

 

The child asked…

“Does God love us?”

And the old man lay down in a bed of fresh blooming violets.

 

The child whispered…

“Is He here now?”
And the old man laughed. “Yes child, He is always with us.

If we but look around us, we shall see Him everywhere.”
