In the morning before you wake,
I lie silently and watch you sleep
beside me
Cuddled against my bosom, warm and
secure
And I know contentment.
In the sunlight, as our day begins,
I stand quietly and watch your play.
Laughing eyes so full of imagination
and life.
And I know peace.
In the twilight, as night
approaches,
I sit calmly as your eyes begin to
droop.
You come to me with arms open wide
and hug so tightly
And I know love.
