Rocks
August 23
Minneapolis , Minnesota

(hosts: Tom Watson and Louis Grizzard)

** The HCWF is undergoing a major recruitment period, if you know of any dedicated roleplayers of a high quality who might want to join our ranks,E mail me with their addresses.**

The scene opens at the latest edition at Rocks. The cameras pan the backstage area. As Reflexive enters the arena, the lights suddenly dim. A dark figure attacks Reflexive. He’s beating him badly. When the lights come on…….it’s Ryan Robichaud! Ryan Robichaud continues beating Reflexive, leaving him in a bloody mess.

The camera shows footage of a junkyard. Piles of trash are burning. In the middle, two animated wrestlers are standing opposite each other. They both pull out bats and run at each other. An explosion can be seen. Then the HCWF Rocks logo appears! The logo spins out of control, then suddenly the logo begins to fade away. Rock music plays, as the camera turns it’s attention to the middle of the ring.

Pyros go off! The camera goes around the arena and shows the thousands in attendance. After panning off, the camera shows two men sitting at the broadcast table.

Tom Watson: Welcome to Rocks! And what a Rocks! we have planned for you here tonight.

Louis Grizzard: You better believe it, Tommy! Our huge tag tournament will commence and conclude, here on the same night! It’ll be unbelievable! And did you just see what happened to Reflexive? Robichaud completely tore him apart.

Tom: While I don’t condone what he did, it was nice to see Reflexive to get some more of his own medicine tonight. I wonder if he’ll be alright in time to compete?

Louis: After the beating he just took? I don’t think so. I’ll be surprised if he comes back in time for Resurrection, nearly 1 month away.

Tom: Our first match will feature the tandem of Wild Child and Ryan Robichaud, against Rob Zenelli and Eric Draven. As we all know now, Zenelli is a part of the now infamous StA. Dangerous’ little group that features some grade-A talent. Last week we saw an all out brawl, stemming from their attack on Ryan Robichaud.

Louis: It was all okey-dokey, until those cheaters came out!

Tom: What cheaters?

Louis: Permenant Midnight, of course. They had no business getting in their with the StA. Absolutely none at all.

Tom: hmmm. Says you.

Louis: Exactly. Who else would’ve?

Tom: Nobody, never mind. Let’s get ready for our first match-up….

Jessica Morientes: Coming down the aisle, weighing in at a total combined weight of 523 lbs. The team of Wild Child and Ryan Robichaud!

”Nice Guys Finish Last” plays as both Robichaud and Wild Child walk down the ramp and head toward the ring. Robichaud walks well in front of Wild Child, distancing himself from his partner with every step. Pyros go off, and fans cheer, as the Whole Show enters the ring. He steps to the middle of the ring, and flexes, with fans gushing over him.

Morientes: Now, weighing in at 494 lbs. Eric Draven and Rob Zenelli!

Fans boo as the name Rob Zenelli comes up. As Santana’s Smooth begins to play, he slowly and methodically makes his way down to the ring. Before getting in, he makes gestures to Ryan Robichaud. He then proceeds to wipe his hands, mocking the Whole Show.

Tom: I’m not sure if he wants to get Ryan Robichaud mad. Did you see what happened to Reflexive earlier tonight?

Louis: You mean that sneak attack? Yeah, I saw it. That was the only way that the Whole Blow could take care of the Human Wrestling Machine.

Tom: Please. The bell has rung. The match is now underway. Robichaud and Draven tie up to start the match. Wow! Robichaud has just picked Draven off the mat and slammed him! Off the first tie up!

Louis: I have to admit that that was a pretty impressive display of power.

Tom: It certainly was. Draven is now back on his feet, with a mean look on his face. What the hell! Zenelli just clobbered Robichaud from behind!

Louis: That was a great move by Mr. Charisma, himself! See, what did I tell you, he’s a genius.

Tom: Genius my ass. He used the cheapest trick in the book on that one. Draven has just tagged Zenelli in, now. A series of punches to the face by Zenelli. Back body slam! Nice move, by Zenelli. He throws him into the corner. BIG SPLASH! I don’t know if Robichaud will be able to get up after that one. 1-2, oh, kick out by Robichaud. It was a two and a half there.

Louis: It would’ve been a three if the referee could count that high.

Tom: Zenelli is showboating to the crowd. That’s never a good idea. Especially against this guy. Robichaud’s up to his feet! Clotheslines Zenelli from behind. Zenelli hit the mat, and he looks hurt. Wait a second, Wild Child just tagged himself in. The referee is still looking at Zenelli and hasn’t seen the tag. Robichaud just flattened his own partner! Is this guy crazy?

Louis: No, just dumb.

Tom: Draven gets in now, he’s attacking Wild Child. He was just thrown over the top rope by Robichaud. Wild Child now rolls out of the ring, he and Draven are going at it on the outside. On the inside, Zenelli has just hit a drop kick to the knee of Robichaud. Down goes Robichaud! Zenelli is stopping away on his head! But off the top rope comes Wild Child! But with amazing strength, Zenelli has caught Wild Child! Wait a second! Robichaud now has Zenelli on his shoulders, with Zenelli still holding on to Wild Child. He’s trying to do a back body drop…. Oh, my gosh! All three have fallen, leaving a huge mess in the ring. The ref is counting….1-2-3-4-5-6…Robichaud is up to his feet. So is Zenelli now. They’re trading punches. Robichaud is blocking Zenelli’s punches now! Down goes Zenelli. Robichaud picks him up! He’s going for it!!!

Louis: No! No! No!

Tom: Oh yeah, it’s Robinater time. This one’s over. 1-2-3. That’s it. Wild Child and Ryan Robichaud are going on to the next round in the tournament.

Louis: Look at that Wild Child’s on his feet now. He’s pushing Robichaud. Robichaud is now going off on Wild Child. HaHaHA. It’s his own partner.

Tom: Robichaud just hit the Robinater on his own partner? Does he think he can go through the whole tournament without a partner? There’s no way any man can do that….

Commercial break.

WE now return you to the show: Rocks! Viewers discretion advised (18+).

The cameras pan the crowd, before focusing on the broadcast booth.

Tom: Welcome back! It’s been announced that there will be two matches for two vacant titles, as well as a Title defense next week. Jimmy James will face Reflexive, for the International title, if Reflexive is back by then. Also, for the Extreme title, we’ll see Mike Callous, Renegade, Wild Child, and Chucky D. In his first title defense, The Eagle will have to face Dominic Fuchelli! What a week it’ll be!

Louis: So, let me get this straight. Next week the Corporate Nest can walk away with every title in the HCWF?

Tom: As of right now, it is possible.

Louis: That’s great! They’ll be great representatives….

Tom: Hold that thought, we’re going backstage, there’s something going on….

Backstage, a fight has broken down between Michael Marbury, and Crazy Tony. The two are going at each other like there’s no tomorrow. Finally the fight is broken up, and Marbury is escorted from the building, as he has no real need to be there.

Tom: More pandemonium has broken loose, as Crazy Tony and Michael Marbury were seen brawling in the backstage area.

Louis: What the hell’s with all the fight’s going on back there? Don’t the guys know that you’re supposed to fight in the ring?

Tom: I guess not.

Louis: Who do we have next?

Tom: The Crazy Italians, including the one who was fighting backstage, will be facing Chucky D and Phantom Sting. This should be an exciting match, although I doubt there will be any turning on partners in this match, as there was in the previous one.

Louis: Yeah, there isn’t anyone as dumb as Ryan Robichaud involved in this match.

Tom: He won didn’t he?

Louis: It doesn’t matter. Let’s just head up to Jessica Morientes.

Tom: How about….

Morientes: This is the next Tag tournament Semi Final Match, it’s scheduled for one fall with a 20:00 time limit. Making their way down first, weighing in at a total combined weight of 467 lbs. Representing the Corporate Nest, Chucky D and Phantom Sting!

The Corporate Nest’s theme song plays. as out walk Chucky D and Phantom Sting to a chorus of boos.

Morientes: Now, weighing in at a total combined weight of 395 lbs. The Crazy Italians!

The Crazy Italians walk out to a surprising amount of fan support. The crowd cheers as the two proud Italian-Americans walk down the ramp and enter the ring.

Tom: Do you see the Italians? They look like they’re ready for business!

Louis: The Italians? Please, Chucky D and Phantom Sting are set to teach them a lesson.

Tom: They attack each other before the bell rings! This match is underway. All four men in the ring here. Sting goes down quickly. Crazy Tony is just pounding away on him. Leg drop! In the other corner, Fuchelli is pounding away on Chucky D! Blood is pouring out of Chucky D’s face, as Fuchelli has opened a wound. This looks to be bad. Crazy Tony has just rolled Phantom Sting out of the ring. The two of them are now pounding on Chucky D. They’re going for the Italian Drop! They hit it! They hit it! The referee makes the count 1-2-3. This one’s in the books. The Crazy Italians move on, they’ll face Ryan Robichaud and Wild Child.

Louis: It doesn’t matter. All that matters is that Jimmy James and the Eagle facing off against Core and Mike Callous.

Tom: It should be a great match! Both of these guys have title opportunities next week. James can get his hands on the prestigious International Title, while Callous can see if he truly is that Hardcore. As Callous enters a four way dance, for the EXTREME Title. Those should be classics.

Louis: Definitely. Same as this one will be.

Morientes: This next bout is an effort to crown new Tag Team Champions. It’s a semi-final match. Coming down the aisle, first, weighing in at 493 lbs. Representing the Corporate Nest. The Eagle and Jimmy James.

The Corporate Nest’s theme music hits the speakers once again, as Jimmy James and The Eagle come down to an astounding amount of boos. The Eagle holds his North American Title in the air, as the fans continue to boo.

Tom: This should be a great match. Mike Callous and these two members of the Corporate Nest are definitely on the rise.

Louis: And you know? If the Corporate Nest win it all here, and they win next week they’ll own every title besides the World and Extreme which they would get soon after. They could totally dominate the HCWF!

Tom: You do have a point. Even if I don’t agree with it.

Morientes: Now coming down the aisle, weighing in at 460 lbs., the team of Mike Callous and Core!

Mike Callous’ theme music hits, as he walks down the ramp, to a surprising amount of boos. The guy who was a fan favourite last week, is not this week.

Tom: Mike Callous and Jimmy James start this match off, they tie up. A good test of power here, as both men stand their ground. A kick to the midsection by James. Callous rebounds from that quickly, as he hammers away on the upper body of James. Callous with a series of chops. James responds with a kick below the belt!

Louis: It works every time!

Tom: Facebuster on Callous. Callous is down and out. James tags out to his partner. The Eagle comes in with a splash from off the top rope. The ref counts. 1-2…no, not enough. Callous barely got out of that one. Wait a second. Callous seems to have gotten a second wind now. He’s firing back at The Eagle. But the Eagle just grabs his hair, and throws him down to the ground. Backflip off the ropes. Will that be enough? 1-2-….oh, so close that time. The Corporate Nest almost came away with a victory, right there. Jimmy James tags back in. Callous has got to be tired in there. He needs to make it to his corner. James is just pounding away on Callous. Callous gets up! He hammers James with a clothesline. He follows that up with a Monkey Flip. Both men are down now.

Louis: Get up, Jimmy! Get up!

Tom: Both men are crawling to their corners. They make the tags. In come both men. The Eagle nearly took Core’s head off there. The Eagle hits Core with a leg drop. He covers him. 1-2-3. It’s all over. A rather week performance by Core.

As The Corporate Nest leave the ring area, celebrating their victory, Mike Callous and Core get up. Mike Callous begins yelling at Core. Then the two get in to it. Callous starts hammering his face with blows. Now, out comes Jen Johnstone. She steps into the ring. It looks like she’s going to stop the fight, but instead she slaps Core in the face a few times. As Core falls to the mat, Jen kicks him for good measure. As we head to commercial break.

The show comes back, with Korey Johnson standing in the back with Permenant Midnight.

Johnson: It must feel good to be here tonight, boys. You have a chance to become the HCWF Tag Team Champs.

Marcus Black: A chance? Hell, we will become champs. Just watch and see, BOY.

Trent Davis: That’s right. We’re about ready to prove we are the best in HCWF as we take on those two StA chumps.

Johnson: W……

Davis: Get out of our face! We have a match now….

Cameras pan back to the ringside area, as Tom Watson, and Louis Grizzard continue to broadcast. Tom: Welcome back. Before the break, we saw yet another team have some troubles.

Louis: And the Corporate Nest won!

Tom: That’s right. Now let’s get ready for the final semi-final match in the tag tournament.

Morientes: This is the final semi-final match in the tag team tournament. Introducing first, weighing in at 480 lbs., Permanent Midnight.

Permanent Midnight comes down to a huge round of cheers.

Morientes: Now, weighing in at 482 lbs., representing the Small-time Alliance, Refelxive and Jack Wells!

From cheers to jeers. Jack Wells is almost booed out of the building by the raucous fans in the building.

Tom: I guess Jack Wells is going at it alone on this one?

Louis: He’s got the stuff, that true heroes are made of. What an athlete.

Tom: Wait a second. Coming down the ramp, Jack Wells was attacked by Ryan Robichaud. Robichaud just hit him with the Robinater on the steel rampway.

Louis: What a classless move. He’s the biggest coward in the business today.

Tom: He’s rolling him into the ring now. The bell sounds. Marc Black just covers him for the victory. We have to take a commercial break, but we’ll be back right after…

Rocks! is back. The camera shows Tom Watson with an odd look on his face

Tom: WE have huge news for you. First of all, the tag title tournament will finish next Wednesday. And we also have been told that we have a special main event tonight. Adam Mercer vs. Danny Dangerously. That should be a quite entertaining match!

Louis: Quite entertaining? Who doesn’t want to see Mr. Dangerously kick Mercer’s ass? I know I do. It should be the best match we’ve ever seen.

Tom: I don’t know about that, but it will be worth watching.

Rocks! Music hits and out comes Adam Mercer. The crowd cheers in delight seeing the HCWF’s part owner enter the ring.

Now, Danny Dangerously comes out to “I Hope You Die” and he enters the ring.

Tom: Both of these men have been in the squared circle before. The know what it’s like. Oh! Chops by Mercer on Dangerously. Dangerously comes back with some high kicks. Wait a second! The Eagle and Jimmy James have just come in from the stands. They’ve attacked Adam Mercer and the referee. Eagle’s Swoop on Mercer! Pay Day by Jimmy James! Now a piledriver by Dangerously. The referee’s back up. This one’s over. Dangerously had a lot of help in this one.

Louis: It was all skill on his part.

Dangerously offers James and Eagle his hand, by they just brush him away, and exit the arena.

Tom: That’s all the time we have. Tune in to the next Rocks! as it’s sure to be explosive!
