THINK NO RAPTURE?

SHORT VERSION

Pastor Murray incorrectly claims the Seals, Trumps, & Vials
are concurrent events. This sets the stage for further misunderstandings.

He teaches that there is no rapture (gathering) back to Christ. Instead, he  claims "all mankind" is changed into a "spiritual body" at the 7th Trump, and sites 1Cor.15 & 1Thes.4 (among other verse) to support this claim.

1Cr 15:51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but WE
shall ALL be changed,

Mat 24:31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his ELECT from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other. ]

Pastor Murray speaks often about "rightly dividing the word" and following "subject & object" , lets see if he himself has done this correctly...

Who is 1Cor.15:51 specifically speaking of ?, lets look at Matt 24:31 "And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his *ELECT from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.     [THIS IS WHO IS CHANGED, THE *ELECT,
A *SPECIFIC GROUP, FOR ONE *SPECIFIC PURPOSE]

It is speaking about the body of Christ being 'gathered' back to HIM, [a.k.a. the Rapture ! ] nowhere does it mention the damned, the deceived, the heathen, ect., as we know they do not gather into the body of Christ

Note the first verse, it sets the subject of the chapter....
1Cr 15:1 Moreover, brethren, [is Paul calling the heathen brethren ?]
I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye
have received, and wherein ye stand; [Do the heathen 'stand' in the
gospel?
If you answered no, then please realize who he is talking to and about]

Verses 2 sets the object of the chapter:......
1Cr 15:2 By which also  ye are saved, [who are saved?  all?  or only those who have overcome ?] if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you; unless ye have believed in vain.

Does the below vs. say "all at once" [i.e. instantly?] or does it say in his own order?
1Cr 15:22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.
1Cr 15:23BUT EVERY MAN IN HIS OWN ORDER: Christ the firstfruits; afterward
*they that are Christ's at his coming.
{i.e. the *Kingdom of vs.24}

[Does it say everyone is changed at once? We still seem to have events
going on here on earth?]

1Cr 15:24 Then [cometh] the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God... [is this every living flesh man, or does it say those who belong to Christ? Is the kingdom of God to be filled with heathens & idolaters? Remember the purpose of the "change" is to be reunited with Christ] ...,even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power.
1Cr 15:25 For he must reign, *till [*till= until & denotes one point in time to another point in time] he hath put all enemies
under his feet. [does this sound instant to you? Sounds like many things are still going on on earth, doesn't it?]
1Cr 15:26 The last [by necessity a "last" requires a "first"] enemy [that] shall be destroyed [is] death.

Finally, who is being spoken of in below verse?
1Cr 15:50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot *inherit the kingdom of God; [ the *purpose of this "change"] neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.

Do the heathen inherit the *kingdom of God* at Christs coming?
I hope no one answers "yes". So how could anyone think this was speaking of all mankind being "changed"?

So, with that in mind, who is being spoken of as "WE & ALL" in the below verse?

1Cr 15:51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but WE
shall ALL be changed, [remember the subject is the gathering
back to Christ of his elect, lets prove that:......

Mat 24:31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his ELECT from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

[LOOK UP *from IN YOUR COMPANION BIBLE APPENDIX #104 iv, ...it's "apo" & it denotes movement away from an object, in this case, away *from the earth, for the above stated purpose of meeting the Lord at his return]

This applies to 1 Thes.4 as well.

Rev 10:7 But in the *days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets.
