                                    ENCOURAGEMENT

 Dear ones,

We know that His will for all of the believers is to encourage one another with words of truth, especially as we see the end of this age upon us, when the pits of hell are loosed and when that great sword of His Word is dividing between what is flesh (our thoughts) and what is Spirit. A WAR in us! Satan is roaring about as a Lion, seeking whom he may devour, as he knows his time is short. We must learn that our adversary  (that old serpent), can only make the "sounds" of a lion in our thought processes to keep us in doubt, and creats fear.

It is a known fact that a lion roars and paralyses his intended prey with fear and then he can devour them easily, as the fear that paralyzes already defeats them. These sounds (or words) and doubtful thoughts will keep us paralyzed and defeated, and will keep us from quoting the true Word back to the part of our carnal double-mind that is roaring against the mind of the Spirit of Truth. This is what Jesus did when that roaring hunger tempted Him in the wilderness experience, He quoted Truth.

Our stubborn self-will (self-sufficiency) keeps our eyes off  the Real Truth of  OUR NEED to submit things pertaining to each of us directly to Him. We have said, "Oh! God is too busy for me to bother us with such trivial matters." GOD WANTS TO BE INVOLVED IN ALL THINGS PERTAINING TO US. The Word says, "Without faith it is impossible to please God." When we believe God's Word it makes our faith grow.  (FAITH = TRUST & CONFIDENCE). FAITH CANCELS FEAR! The scripture says our enemy roars "as" a  Lion, not that he is the lion. Jesus is The Lion of the tribe of Judah. He is VICTOR!

Satan imitates that lion of power (Negative power), but only has the power that we give him by believing that he has any power at all. Jesus said he destroyed Satan's power over us when He died on the cross. We need to believe it. That is why we are commanded to put on the believing mind of Christ. Without His mind we are incapable of believing. We need to quit believing the negative or counterfeit deceiving lion that creeps into our thoughts. We must like Jesus, say, IT IS WRITTEN! And only do what we see our Father do by His Word. So, we are instructed to only listen to what our Heavenly Father says and not the deceitful thought that comes from our own heart and mind.

GOD SAYS, "our hearts are deceitfully wicked." We must reject those thoughts by saying, That is not what the Word says! Jesus said, "Satan you are a liar and the father of lies."

We need to only read what the promises are from God, instead of  believing what the enemy tries to get us to believe when the negative thoughts enter our minds. God said it, God promised it, and that is good enough for us!

When we really come to the conclusion that God really is our Father, and that He REALLY CARES about everything pertaining to us, and when we really believe that we are the children of "The King of the Universe" then we will have more confidence in His Word that gives us direction on how to defeat the enemy of our mind. That's what is meant by putting on the mind of Christ  (anointing)!! WE NEED TO QUIT BELIEVING THE LIES OF DEFEAT!

With the mind of Christ we are able to be believers and not doubters, trusting Him completely in matters of our life. We need to quit thinking with our own understanding and submit to Him in all things. Go to counsel with Him about all things, seeking His advice and direction that will ultimately end in getting the Victory. This change in our thinking process will bring JOY (which is our strength) in our hearts, and then, and only then, will we be able to walk above all the troubles and cares of this life, and we will enter into His rest. PRAISE HIS WONDERFUL NAME "JESUS"!!! "He who has started a good work in you WILL finish it" He is the Author and Finisher of our Faith."

We need to quit our fretting and worrying. He said that He is the Author (the one starting this process), He also said that He is the Finisher  (the one that completes it). It is being done by Him as we submit to Him and quit thinking about what we will do. We must join His plan, because it is obvious, He is not joining our plan. His purpose is found in many places, and these are but a few. Romans 8:28, and Eph1:11, this is worth studying. God said He works ALL THINGS after the council of HIS OWN WILL! also Eph 3:11.  Proverbs 19:21 says, There are many devices in a man's heart; nevertheless the counsel of the Lord shall stand. Let's say it the way the New International version reads. Many are the plans in a mans heart, but it is the Lords purpose that prevails. God's purpose will prevail inspite of our plans. Purpose is the original intent of why a thing was created. God said that He purposed and then He created. He saw the end from the beginning, then He created... We were born with a purpose. Ephesians 1:11 says, "In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of Him who works All THINGS after the counsel of His own will. We need to say like Christ, "Not my will, but thine be done." Read all of Ephesians Chapter 1:1-23. A good study through out the whole Bible is on PURPOSE! Sometimes, because we think it, we believe it came from God. If it does not correspond to His purpose then it was not from Him. It came from the imagination of our own heart, which the Word says is deceitfully wicked. "God said it! "

My mother, before she went to be with Jesus, received a strong urging from the Holy Spirit. This urging was about 2Tim 2, and as I remember, she said to study completely and read often! This was a great confirmation for her about what needed to be understood. It also was a great comfort to her in making the transition to go be with the Lord.

2Tim 2:20-21 says, "But in a great house (God's House or plan) there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honor, and some to dishonor. If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honor, sanctified, and meet (useful) for the Master's use prepared unto every good work. What this is telling me is, until we are purged from all that is not of Him, then we surely are a vessel of dishonor. At this stage of growing in Him, maybe we are mixed a little with both. We are a vessel of honor in some areas that we have been purged in. Still we dislike the remaining areas that need purging, because we know that it is not like Him. We THANK HIM for the work of purging that He has already done in each of us, but if we are honest we will admit we need more.

THE END OF PURGING WILL PRODUCE AN IMAGE IN US THAT REFLECTS ONLY HIM!

The Word says in James 1:23, "For if any be a hearer of the Word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass (mirror).

I get up in the morning and look in the mirror, and I see my face looking back at me. This is not what the Word is talking about. We look into God's Word (Mirror) for our example which is the Pattern Son, and if we do not exemplify His character, His Love, His Mercy, His Patients, His Strength, then we need more purging of our own carnal ways that are opposite to His purpose for our lives. He said to submit ALL things to Him. First submit our carnal mind that reasons against the things of God.

The scale is mentioned in the Word many times. Scales are a way of  balancing things. For an example - Put our spirit in one side and put God's Spirit in the other side and when they are in perfect balance you cannot see any difference. When our spirit totally merges with His Spirit we become one. In Philippians 2:5-7 says, "Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: who being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made of Himself of no reputation, and took upon Him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men...." So if we are supposed to let this mind be in us, and if we are to be like Jesus, Then we will be servants also. What do we serve? We serve "LOVE" to God's creation! Love is powerful, and when the True Love of God is served, it will change lives. Remember GOD IS LOVE!

It is my sincere desire to encourage all who read this word to become strong in the belief that God would never start a good work in your life if He had not seen the end of the work. God is not like a man that wastes or starts something that He does not finish. We need to quit our own work (carnal thoughts), putting our cares on Him, submit ALL things to Him, inter into His rest knowing that God is still on His throne of power and will complete what He started in us.

We will see powerful results when we learn to pray according to HIS PURPOSE, and when we do not pray amiss (wrongly) we will receive according to HIS WILL. James 4:3 says, "You ask, and you do not receive, because you ask wrongly, that you may consume it upon your lusts or pleasures." (This is because we are praying with our own reasoning and thoughts that are at enmity against the purpose of God) This is why the Word says,  SEEK! Seek what? Seek the Truth!

God does not put bandages on our wrongs, He lets them run there due course to let us see that we can do nothing apart from Him. We need to turn to Him for guidance and instruction in matters concerning us. We must have patience, waiting for His perfect time to intervene in all things that we bring to Him. Remember, He sees the end from the beginning. We are like little children. When we ask for something; we want it now. Romans 8:25 says, "But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it. When we can do this, then we know that we are believers, because we have pure trust and confidence that  GOD WILL DO WHAT HE SAID, IN ALL HIS PROMISES!!! And we need to patiently wait for His work, or answer in that thing we ask from Him.

We pray that God will have His perfect will in your life.

Sincerely in the love of Christ, John and Darlene
