The time has come.  After a hardrive crash.  Cornhusker Red is making it final appearance of the 2001 Football Season.  The BCS computers are Husker fans and I could spend hours on why the BCS works and why it doesn't work.  Now is not the time nor place.  Miami is next and her is my THREEANDOUT for the Rose Bowl.

One- An Estimated 60,000 - 80,000 Husker faithful will make the trip to Pasadena.  Tickets in and out of hand.  The Rose Bowl holds 102,000.  Nebraska is wearing Red.  Weathermen are calling for a RED OUT in Pasadena come game time.  Miami claims that this will not be a factor, but I assure you this is a tangible that will help.  Gotta Love to be a Husker!

Two - Nebraska is 100% healthy and has the intangibles to win this game.  Coming of the embarassing defensive effort in Boulder.  Coach Bohl and the Blackshirts have something to prove.  Not to me or you but to themselves.  This defense will go down in the record books giving up the most points in Nebraska history.  Would you want that on your shoulders?  The only way to erase it is to win.  Which brings me to bowl preparation.  Nebraska is the best.  Take recent history and the production on offense and defense.  Since the 94 Orange Bowl there isn't a more succesful bowl team.  Expect it to continue.  On offense and defense, we will throw in enough wrinkles that Miami will not recognize that our brute force and power football game will take over late.  We just can get down if they are up 10 or 14 early.

Three - Keys to success in the Rose Bowl versus a very talented Miami Team.  Defensive front seven.  Pressure on Dorsey is really what this game is going to come down to.  If the Blackshirts can put pressure on the Canes it will be a long night for their offense and will domino into their defense.  Getting chipped by a receiver the Hurricane defense will get frustrated and the Husker Power Football will once again prevail.  It nearing time for me to board my plane.  I'll be screamin loud from the 20 yard line.  I'll be the one in Red.  HUSKER!   POWER!
