First we
must thank Maureen Byrne of Dublin, Ireland for breeding and raising
such a great puppy for us. Murphy did not arrive in America until
he was 7 months old, just before Christmas 2001 because of September
11th and the restrictions placed on air travel.
Murphy
arrived well socialized, leash & crate trained and housebroken. He
is great to groom and bathe, so I know that Maureen put many hours
into him before he arrived here.
Murphy has
two owners here in the USA, myself, Jerrie Wolfe, who has been
breeding and showing mainly Cairn Terriers under the prefix of Rose
Croft. I have been very successful with my Cairn breeding program,
by breeding the Top Winning Cairn in the history of the breed, not
just in America, but the world over. Plus other top winners for
the past 25 years, both here and abroad.
I have shown
and finished several other breeds, mostly Terriers and have co-bred
Chinese Cresteds with Irene Mogg for the past 20 years. We have not
been too active in Cresteds, breeding only 2 litters in the past 7
years.
I met
Murphy's other owner when he was looking for a Cairn to purchase for
his son. He now owns or co-owns three Cairns and now Murphy. He
will have to fill in the rest of the story here himself.
Our goal in
Tibetans will be the same as it has been in my other breeds and that
is to breed holistically ~ that is breed a whole dog, that is not
only structurally sound and beautiful to behold, but also sound in
mind and free of as many genetic defects as possible.
Murphy
starts his show career here Jan. 6th at the Contra Costa KC match
and then his first shows will be Santa Clara weekend in February.
We only have
Murphy for now, but we are planning on adding a female sometime in
the future.

The meaning of our
prefix
Tian-Min
has two meaning, mandate from Heaven or Heaven's Gate.
Murphy came into our lives just when I need some peaceful
refocusing. He has been a joy to live with after all
these years of scrappy little Terriers. |
