Editorial

Hello, faithful readers, and welcome to our third special issue, featuring the TIMELY Comics Group! As many of you know, today's Marvel Comics Inc. was known as Timely comics during the late 1930s and the 1940s and then changed its name to Atlas in time for their superhero revival in the middle 1950s. A storied past, indeed! ANTHONY BERNARDO gives an excellent introduction as well as additional commentary to each of the profiles presented here. YES, all the characters featured here in this special have seen the light of day in previous issues of the Good Guys and Gals of the Golden Age, but have not been gathered up into one whole issue! Now you can just concentrate on these TIMELY heroes and heroines. Enjoy!

We will have a BRAND NEW issue (# 16) of the Good Guys and Gals of the Golden Age premiering on March 1st 2001.Our good buddy DARRIN WILTSHIRE has all the artwork in-house (for the Golden Age section) as well as the artwork for issues 17 through 20 too. So new issues are forthcoming! Hang in there, true lovers of the GA, 'cause the fun has just begun. I am now settled into my new digs in Southern California, and the new stuff will be rolling your way soon! Thanks for being so patient and sticking with us. The best is yet to come.

A final note and I will shut up (HA!) and let you get on with the enjoyment of this special issue. But I just want to let everyone know that the FIRST 3 CD ROMS are done and up for sale on our site right now! SO check out these wonderful CDs. Those who have bought them have loved them! LOL! We also have a 4th CD ROM reprint coming out at the end of March (projected release date) and will be more superhero-oriented as well. So start saving your pennies! LOL! Anyway that's it for now, see you in March and may God bless you all! Bye 4 now.
