INSPECTOR
RUSTY FALCON-PRICE "Cross your T's and dot your I's" when Falcon-Price is around!! A regular cast member, Inspector Falcon Price sends shivers down the spines of most officers in the region... with the notable exception of Jo Parish! Falcon Price has to endure endless requests for improved conditions, extra staff... or whatever else from Jo, who is the Station's union representative. The Inspector softened his image recently by taking part in Bluey day and having his head shaved to raise money for cancer research. |
INSPECTOR
MONICA DRAPER Monica Draper is the other member of the Inspector double-act on Blue Heelers. She is a stern lady who usually resigns to "discussing this back at the station". Draper especially liked Constable Dash McKinnley, even to the point where on one episode, Dash thought Draper was coming onto her!! |
SENIOR
SERGEANT TOM CROYDON Senior Sergeant Tom Croydon has been a country copper all his life, and prides himself on the philosophy that "country policing is about the people". He has suffered some terrible losses, having had his wife, Nell, pass away just a few years ago, followed by the shocking murder of Senior Constable Margaret (Maggie) Doyle. Maggie had been "more of a daughter to me than my own", and he keeps a photograph of her on his desk. Tom personifies honesty, integrity and loyalty. He keeps his members under a watchful and caring eye, using his own experiences and good sense to guide them through their careers. He has been lifelong friends with bar owner, Chris Riley, another Mount Thomas local. |
SERGEANT
TESS GALLAGHER Tess is a young Sergeant who knows where she is headed. She has worked extremely hard to be in such a high rank at a young age. Her determination to make something of herself was probably a direct result of a rough upbringing; her mother was irresponsible in caring for her and her siblings, thus Tess had to fend for herself. Despite a turbulent arrival to the Mount Thomas Station, after beating Senior Constable Ben Stewart for the job as Sergeant, Tess has gradually begun to form positive relationships with the Mt Thomas team, though they still have fun mocking her "goody-goody" nature. Though now the subject of much attention from new recruit, Evan Jones, Tess is not quite ready for a new partner, after former lover Jack Lawson was found guilty of manslaughter. |
SENIOR
DETECTIVE PJ HASHEM Patrick Joseph Hashem is one of only three remaining Blue Heelers' originals. He is the town's detective and is perhaps best known for his relationship with Maggie Doyle. After years of building their relationship, PJ finally asked Maggie to marry him in late 1999. Disaster struck soon after, with the death of Maggie in early 2000. PJ has not recovered from this loss and has now taken on a more comic role at the station. He is serious about his work, and is protective of his high profile cases. He has a good friendship with "Benny-Boy", and recently invited Ben to move in with him. |
SENIOR
CONSTABLE BEN STEWART Ben Stewart is a family man who has been known to put his career prospects on hold to deal with personal matters. This was not always the case however. When Ben arrived in Mt Thomas he was working as a criminal investigator, and at first did not endear himself to the members at the Station. Ben's character evolved after a one-off kiss with Maggie, which sparked great controversy among the Blue Heelers world. While PJ was obviously suffering after the death of Maggie, Ben also ached silently for the girl he also had eyes for. Ben's marriage has broken down as a result of him dedicating too much time to his work. This, together with Maggie's death has seen him become more relaxed at work, meaning he is not so career driven these days. Ben was devastated early this year when his wife took their three children and moved to Perth. Ben is a good father and a great officer who is liked by all in Mt Thomas. His downfall is his tendancy to become personally involved in cases which involve children, as he suffers from being seperated from his own. He has proven to be a valuable member at the Station, and is one never to back away from a confrontation with Tony Timms and the local media. |
CONSTABLE
JO PARISH Constable Jo Parish came to the Mount Thomas Station with several "black marks" next to her record, mainly due to the fact that she often "leaps before she looks". Some feel that with her "comic ways" and lively spirit, she has filled the void left by Constable Dash McKinnley. Her headstrong nature often lands her in direct conflict with Tess and Tom Croydon, though the latter has come to find her more amusing than a threat. She has a mind for detective work, with PJ often fostering her natural talent. Being good mates with Jack "Stretch" Lawson, Jo was upset at his sudden departure. Though she has eyes for the handsome new constable, Evan Jones, it looks at this stage that she will simply have a new mate. Jo is not afraid to go head-to-head with the "big guns" either, frequently being caught with her foot in her mouth by Inspector Falcon Price. |
CONSTABLE
EVAN JONES Evan "Jonesy" Jones is the newest addition to the Mt Thomas Police Station. His past is a complicated mess... but nonetheless, Evan has joined the force and is ready to follow in his adopted father's footsteps. Already we have seen Jonesy to be enthusiastic, compassionate and hot-headed. He is generally liked by fellow officers at the station, however Tess doesn't quite know how to handle him. Jo has shown signs of interest in Jonesy, but he appears more keen on his superior, Sergeant Gallagher. Jonesy comes from a strong family history of policing, with his father being Commander Reg Jones, though recently retired. Jonesy shows a raw talent for police work, but is yet to learn all the rules. |
