WelcomeThis site is about the Flemish painter Edwig Goyvaerts. Over a period of thirty years, Edwig Goyvaerts has become a well-known figure in the Flemish art scene. One of the purposes of this site is to establish his place among other artists on the web. He is also a drawing teacher at the "Royal Academy of Arts of Mechelen", so you will find much information about his work, drawing and painting techniques, exhibitions, other Flemish artists as well as international artists, and art in general on this site.
Artist's Profile
During his classical period, Edwig Goyvaerts won the "Vincke Soeurs"; the "De Keyser"; and the "Van Lerius" award. These are important awards in the Flemish art scene. In 1998 Edwig Goyvaerts started the project "Hartverwarmend rood" This Flemish project involves other artists and art students. Each participant produces 4 works inspired by the color red. The whole collection is then mounted, by the artists themselves, in art galleries at different locations in Belgium. FastCounter by bCentral
