Tony's Story

Tony was 18 years old when he was diagnosed with a rare bone cancer called Ostio Fibrosis Sarcoma in February 1977. He was told at this time that he would have to have his right leg amputated the following month. Apparently the cancer cells were there and He had started the cancer to grow by falling down and hitting his Knee on some wet steps. Not a tear from his eye fell. He was a brave guy with a heart of gold. Tony then after the amputation started Chemo Therapy and Radiation. He continued the chemo therapy for 18 Months. My mom and dad took Tony to Memphis Tennessee where he recieved his treatment at St Judes Childrens Hospital. The doctors told tony that he would have pain that would be terrible but Tony never felt the pain once. If he did he never showed it. Tony Died May 30, 1979 at Age 20 He only liked two months being 21 years old. That has been 20 Years ago and I still miss him so Much. Tony will live on in the hearts of everyone who new him and remembers him.
