Source: "In the absence of any feudal 'foundation' the most appropriate date for a modern Austrian horoscope is the proclamation of the Republic in 1918. The circumstances surrounding this event are confused. [...] However, the existence of the republic is officially timed from the proclamation by [the new Chancellor] Karl Renner at 4:00 p.m. on 12 November 1918."
