Alright! This is the assorted rules and FAQ. Here we cover any the other stuff that hasn't been covered on the other pages. Let's cut the smalltalk, and get to them, shall we?

I. Transforming.
Suprisingly this isn't complicated. You can transform at will as often as you like. In battle, transforming takes ONE round. Thus it is the only action you can do in that round.

II. Sparks.
There are NO sparks in Generation 1 Transformers. They have "Lazer Cores." So don't mention sparks.

III. Hasbro made characters

This is an RPG, thus emphasis is on making your own all-new original guys. However, it's okay to play an old favorite. Note that this is under copyright of Hasbro/Takara and any deviating from the normal personality without any real reason will get you a letter from me telling you that you are no longer able to play that character. That means no Sweeps hugging kittens! As well, a Hasbro/Takara made character CAN NOT gain experience. Experience is explained below.

IV. Gesalts
A gesalt is a bunch of transformers that combine to form a much BIGGER robot. Devestator, for example, is made up of six normal robots that combine to form one big one!

How does this work in playing terms? Well, all members of that subgroup (Subgroup is a set of transformers that form the one big one and have a catchy name...like stuntacons! I hope I'm not losing you that are new to transformers) take the minor ability: GESALT form. Only if all the members take this can the gesalt form be realized.

IVa. Stats for a gesalt.

Here's where you may need a calculator. To find the individual stats for the gesalts, look below: Str: Highest member of the team's strength +1 extra point for every 2 members. INT: Avg of the teams intelligence
Spd: Avg of the team's speed
End: Highest member of the team's endurance +1 extra point for every 2 members.
Rank: LOWEST of the team's ranks. This is because Gesalts are usually big, dumb, and grunts.
Courage: Highest of the teams courage +1 extra point for every two members.
Firepower: Highest of the teams firepower +1 extra point for every two members.
Skill: Average of the team's skill.

NOTE: that this is rounded DOWN. Thus, if a team had only 5 members, their super robot form would only recieve +2 to Str, End, Courage and FP. 6 members would get +3. Hope this is clear for people.
NOTE: that each member of the team forms a body part of the nex giant robots. One forms the head, one forms an arm, etc. If making a gesalt team, include WHO forms WHAT.
NOTE: You must fill out a seperate application for the Giant robot.

V. Experience points. Most RPG's let one gain new powers and levels very quickly. Not the case with TF:RPG. You live for millions of years, thus enhancment is slow. Let one still gains experience even when a life span is near infinite. That is where Experience Points come in. EXPs (for short) are like a currency that you can use. You trade them in for new abilities, higher stats and the like. Here now are the various ways you gain experience:

1. Defeating a member of an opposing team in one-on one combat: 1 point
2. Destroying a member of an opposing team: 1 point
3. Foiling an opponent's scheme or plan: 1 points to all that helped.
4. EXCELLENT role playing in a story: 3 points! Acting counts people!
5. For autobots only: Putting your own needs and goals aside in order to help another. Self sacrfice, Noble behaviour. Basically, BEING an autobot: 1 point per story.
6. For Decepticons only: being ruthless, cruel, vile, evil, backstabbing and trecherous, and putting Autobots in fiendish yet easily escapable death traps. Basically..acting like a decepticon: 1 point per story.
And that's it. Pretty simple.

Va. Spending experience:

The following are ways to spend experience:
Raising one of your stats (STR, INT, SPD, etc.)up one point: level you wish to reach x10.
That means you need 100 EXP if you want to go from 9 to 10. You MUST go up only one point at a time. You can't jump from 1 to 5 and only pay 50 EXP. Sorry.

Gaining a NEW minor power: Current amount of minor powers x15. (if you have no minor powers, you must still spend 15 points to gain your first.)

Gaining a NEW major power: Current amount of major powers x20.

This may seem like a lot, but Autobots and Decepticons go millions of years without advancing themselves. As well, you're already big enough to swallow a pro basketball player whole and rip building apart with your bare hands! This is NOT a game for power gamers!

VI. When does the game take place???

We are using the same canon the Beast Wars eventually does. Mainly because it is what is accepted by Hasbro. That means only the original 4 seasons of the American cartoon and the g2 comic. This is set after the 12 issues of the comic. The temporary piece between Autbots and Decepticons has broken down and they are at war again. This explains why the G2 Decepticons are part of the Game. Optimus Prime Lives, Megatron, not Galvatron is in charge of the Decepicons in tank form, and certain TF's are DEAD.

VII. Anything else?

Truthfully, I can't think of anything to add right now. But the rules are always expanding to incoporate your ideas. Just email me and any questions about the rules will be both emailed to you and POSTED on this page! You make the game happen people!
